They’re finally releasing locally: New Balance OMN1S

Posted on Jan 19, 2020 in New Balance

Back in February 2019, New Balance officially unveiled their return to basketball with the OMN1S. The brand was mum at first as to how they were releasing the all-new silhouette after its initial run within North America. Come October 2019, NB released a video dubbed “Reing over LA” featuring their first signature athlete, Kawhi Leonard. Kawhi was set to celebrate his “homecoming” to Los Angeles after stints in San Antonio and Toronto. The video defiantly declared the following:

“This is his city. This is Kawhi’s job. These are his kicks. They’re New Balance.”

The video launched the OMN1S’ commercial release and New Balance sold the “Reign Gold” OMN1S in select global retailers, shortly followed by six other new colorways (see the rest of the colorways below) to close out 2019. These colorways are set to drop in the PH this coming weekend.

To better appreciate the OMN1S, the name was derived from the Latin word omnis, which means “of everything”. The latest sneaker from New Balance was made for today’s positionless player.

“As the game has changed, there is a versatility to the player on the court now that there has never been before. The OMN1S was built for a player like Kawhi Leonard that can do it all. It’s designed to represent what we want New Balance to represent on and off the court. Game speaks for itself,” said Jonathan Grondin, Creative Design Manager at New Balance.

The OMN1S delivers the speed and responsiveness champions need for positionless, full-court play. The full-length FuelCell midsole unleashes the speed and bounce players need to explode in the moment. A 3D Ultra Heel construction and infused FitWeave upper team up for a long-lasting, locked-in fit that screams buckets. New Balance declares a new day, so hold the talk. Play the game. The OMN1S has landed.

The New Balance OMN1S is set to drop this Saturday, January 25, 2020 at New Balance Glorietta, Trinoma and Bonifacio High Street. ‘Reign Gold’, ‘Heat Wave’, ‘Baited’, ‘Lights On/Lights Out’ and ‘City of Angels’ will be made available in mens, womens ( both Php 7,995) and youth sizes (Php 6,495). The footwear will be complemented by apparel — logo tees, graphic tees, sweat pants, all ranging from Php 1,295 to Php 2,795. Throughout the year, expect new colorways of the OMN1S to be released across New Balance stores and select lifestyle and basketball retailers.
