The latest from New Balance and Joe Freshgoods is almost here

I’m this close to awarding 2021 to New Balance the same way they ‘won’ 2020. New Balance has been dominating the sneaker game – both on collaborations and innovations – with their releases over the past 24 months. Some might say that their collab with Joe Freshgoods in 2020 kickstarted it all, making the past year a memorable one for NB.

After that February 2020 ‘No Emotions Are Emotions’ drops last year, New Balance and Joe Freshgoods are at once again, this time to launch the ‘Outside Clothes’ colleciton. All hinged on the nostalgia of playing outside as a child, the latest collection is highlighted by the MADE 990v3 inspired by the great outdoors. The shoe drops tomorrow, September 10th, exclusively at Commonwealth, to join the rest of the world for the global release.

With such a versatile silhouette such as the 990v3, JFG turned the shoe as a great representation of the great outdoors – from the brown suede representing dirt, blue mesh for the sky and green accents to mimic grass.

“I didn’t realize until last year how much the act of being outside had played a major part in my career,” said Joe
“Freshgoods” Robinson.

“Sometimes it takes something being taken away from you to realize what it means to you. And that’s really what inspired this shoe. To me, being told you smell like outside represents the early stages of what fun meant. From neighborhood block parties to hanging on the porch all day with your homies, you knew you had a wild day when your mom said you smelled like outside.”

The Joe Freshgoods x New Balance MADE 990v3 ‘Outside Clothes’ drops tomorrow, September 10th, exclusively at Commonwealth. The shoe retails for Php 13,995. Commonwealth will be releasing the shoe via online raffle so make sure to keep it locked in before it’s too late.
