NEW: New Balance Fresh Foam LAZR Hyposkin

Posted on Feb 21, 2018 in New Balance

We’re living in the digital age and it’s pretty apparent that brands are using data when doing their research in coming up with the next best thing to help athletes move and improve with their products. Just last weekend (in the midst of all the madness), New Balance unveiled their latest running shoe, the Fresh Foam LAZR Hyposkin. The sleek new runner continues to use the Fresh Foam midsole which now features deep, laser-engraved flex grooves, while the upper is enhanced with their latest Hyposkin technology. Compared to the original Fresh Foam, the laser-engraved midsoles provide a softer ride. Hyposkin in essence is created in such a way that it helps support the foot but all gives you the freedom to move in all sorts of directions. The outsole features larger hexagons that disperse impact in high pressure zones and smaller ones in low pressure zones.

Upon picking up the shoe, you’ll notice that the shoe is quite light (274 grams or 9.7 oz for men, 233 grams or 8.2 oz for women). I tried the shoe on and it’s quite snug due to its bootie construction but very comfortable once you’re in. We’ll definitely try the shoe on for a couple more days to find out how they perform. The shoe is definitely made for people with can work with neutral cushioning.

What’s great about the shoe is that it’s definitely wearable whether you’re on the road or on more relaxed trips. Two colorways each are currently available in store:

Men’s

  • Military Foliage Green with Phantom & Sea Salt
  • Phantom with Castlerock & White

Women’s

  • Elderberry with Daybreak & White
  • Phantom with Castlerock & White

The New Balance Fresh Foam LAZR Hyposkin retails at a very affordable Php 4,995 and is now available at Intersport (Vertis North — a definite must-visit for your sporting needs), New Balance stores (ATC/BHS/Glorietta/Trinoma/SM Aura), Planet Sports (ATC/Greenhills/Glorietta/Trinoma/Powerplant Mall) and Second Wind (Ayala the 30th)
