New Balance partners with Wicked Piece for the X-90 ‘Seoul’ Pack

Posted on Oct 18, 2018 in New Balance

Just like the 247 a year ago, New Balance looks to the X-90 as their key silhouette for 2018. We’ve seen several iterations of the X-90 this season, most recently with the Reconstructed Pack. This Friday, New Balance pays homage to one of their ‘stronger’ cities with the Seoul Pack. There’s no question of the popularity of New Balance throughout the eastern hemisphere. If you walk the streets of Korea, you’ll see a lot of people wearing the N so proudly. Working together with Korean illustrator and toy artist Wicked Piece (Nam Gung Ho), New Balance created a two-piece set depicting the bright lights and dark streets of a night out in Seoul.

The first pair comes in a predominantly black upper with white and silver accents depicting the ‘night’ skies of Korea. Blue accents are seen through the lace tips, outsole and extra laces. The white pair has a little more color throughout which represents the neon signs and lights that brighten the Seoul skyline. Added details are found on the shoe’s insoles with the N Seoul Tower printed on them. Both pairs come in a specialized box and also includes a sticker pack and an extra set of laces.

The New Balance X-90 ‘Seoul’ Pack drops tomorrow, October 19th, at select New Balance stores (Glorietta and the newly revamped Trinoma store), Sole Academy, Sneak Peek and The Athlete’s Foot. The X-90 ‘Seoul’ retails for Php 6,795.
