New Balance brings in the 574S V2 ‘Decades’ Pack for 2019

Posted on Jan 8, 2019 in New Balance

If you’ve been following the trends these past few months, you should be aware that the chunky dad sneaker and trail running are at the forefront these days. While trends may die down over time, it’s really about how brands re-imagine their collections for today’s discerning consumer.

Last December, we were introduced to the updated 574 Sports silhouette, the 574 Sport V2. While the V2 features the classic overlays and booty construction of its predecessors, the shoe now sports a split sole unit, a lower tongue/collar combo as well as a brand new outsole pattern. The FreshFoam D2D (Data to Design) outsole was created based on data collated from their performance pairs, now reinterpreted for their lifestyle line.

To kick things off for 2019, the 574 Sport V2 ‘Decades’ Pack tells the story of the brand’s rich trail running history through the colorways of their iconic silhouettes. From the Gator (1970s), to the MR2002 (2000s), each pair utilizes quality materials, letting the shoe shine further. The New Balance 574S V2 ‘Decades’ Pack is now available at select New Balance stores around the metro. The New Balance 574S V2 retails for Php 6,295. Check the silhouettes below for more info.

70s: The 574S V2 takes inspiration from the Gator, one of NB’s iconic off-road shoes from the 70s.

80s: For 574 fans, we’re all too familiar with the 574’s iconic navy color blocking. The shoe’s upper features Pig suede and mesh.

90s: For the 90s, New Balance takes inspiration from the 826, a shoe that released in 1997. The 826 was also the brand’s 1st shoe to feature Stability web. The upper utilizes cow suede, leather and mesh.

00s: New Balance takes the gun metal colorway from 2010’s MR2002. The shoe is the 1st 1000 series shoe to feature STABILITY WEB. Nubuck and Air Mesh make up the shoe’s upper.
