Commonwealth is set to release the TDS Niobium Concept 1 tomorrow

Posted on Dec 8, 2020 in New Balance

After debuting last August as part of New Balance TDS (Tokyo Design Studio)’ collaboration with Snow Peak, the TDS Niobium Concept 1 becomes available as a general release this December.

The trail-ready sneaker concept was inspired by the chemical element niobium which is resistant to certain chemicals and easily molded at low temperatures. What’s great about the sneaker is that it’s actually three pairs rolled into one. First is the most obvious – the trail sneaker boot. Unzipping the shoe makes it a laceless slip-on, while removing the inner bootie makes it a camp-ready slipper. The TDS Niobium Concept 1 is waterproof, as it is completmented by the rubber ‘N’ logo on the shoe’s sidewalls. While the previously released collab was in grey, the new release comes in yellow an black, two colorways used by the brand for their trail running sneakers.

In terms of cushioning, the TDS Niobium Concept 1 uses ABZORB on its midsole while it takes on the MT801’s chunky sole unit.

The New Balance TDS Niobium Concept 1 drops tomorrow, December 9th, at Commonwealth for Php 15,995 and will be available in Men’s sz 8-11. Make sure to follow Commonwealth on social for more info and exact release details.
