Back on Track: New Balance x Levi’s M1300LV drops this Saturday

Posted on Jun 5, 2020 in New Balance

As we ease into the ‘new normal’, our favorite brands are slowly getting back on track, opening doors, bringing their goods to their retailers and businesses finally opening up after the last quarter.

While New Balance unofficially is the brand for 2020, they’ve have a solid string of releases across the globe, with the 992, 327 and locally, the 1300JP. Following the 1300JP, New Balance PH is bringing another much-awaited pair — the New Balance x Levi’s M1300LV.

Just to backtrack, the M1300 was one of the brand’s most celebrated running silhouettes – blending the best possible cushioning and stability into one sneaker. While the 99x series has been a recent favorite, the M1300 truly banners the best of the 1000s series.

As you might’ve seen over the last few months (and recent release last May), the Levi’s collab is dropping here in the PH today. The NB x Levi’s M1300LV upper uses hairy suede overlays, inspired by the latter brand’s iconic leather patch found on the backside. The shoe also uses Levi’s proprietary deadstock denim from their Cone Mills White Oak plant, which apparently shut down in 2017.

Full-grain leather is used on the N logo, backtab and the shoe’s lining. The shoe also features the “Levi’s for Feet” branding on the insole, originally seen from Levi’s footwear back in the ’80s. Like most pinnacle releases from NB, the shoe was crafted in their Skowhegan, Maine factory, made by American craftsmen, using domestic materials true to the New Balance’s history

The New Balance x Levi’s M1300LV will be made available tomorrow, June 6, at Levi’s SM Aura and Commonwealth (Rockwell and Greenbelt) and will retail for Php 12,995. Expect to get more info on the release later today.
