This is the Air Jordan XI Low IE we’ve been waiting for

Posted on Jul 14, 2019 in Jordan Brand

When the Air Jordan XI first came out, it was an instant classic. The use of patent leather against the ballistic nylon on the shoe’s upper was just mind blowing and a revelation in footwear. Considering it dropped in the mid-90s – the golden age of sneakers – the Air Jordan XI went against the grain with its low-key design.

Building on the shoe’s popularity, Nike also released the Air Jordan XI IE, a low top version of the XI that used the shoe’s base but built with a different upper. It didn’t quite catch the same appeal at first but true heads truly appreciated the mesh sidewalls and leather uppers.

Fast forward to 2019 and Jordan Brand looked like they figured out the puzzle Now mirroring the XI, the IE now takes on the patent leather found around the shoe’s wrap as well as using mesh on the upper. With the concord Jumpman on the tongue and outsole, some are calling this the Space Jame IEs. To cap things off, an icy outsole replaces the opaque one found on the OG IE, truly mimicking the Concord XIs.

The Air Jordan XI I.E. ‘Black/Dark Concord’ is now available at select Nike Park doors around the metro (we’re guessing it’s the Fort, Trinoma, and Glorietta), retailing for Php 8,545. We’ve yet to confirm of the release at other Jordan stockists.
