The ‘Tinker Series’ kicks off this weekend with the Air Jordan 6

Posted on Oct 5, 2018 in Jordan Brand

When you think about Nike/Jordan’s greatest hits, you immediately think of Tinker Hatfiled. Tinker’s been so instrumental to Nike’s storied history it doesn’t surprise us that Jordan Brand took inspiration from the maestro for their latest collection. Taking inspiration from Hatfield’s most famous non-Jordan works (and apparently some of MJ’s personal favorites), JB presents to us the Tinker Series. Tinker’s most famous silhoettes’ colorways are applied to an Air Jordan silhouette born on the same year.

First up we have the Air Jordan VI. Back in 1991, MJ scored his first-ever NBA championship and on his feet were the Air Jordan 6s. On the gridiron, Tinker Hatfield created several trainers including Bo Jackson’s Air Trainer SC 2. Although closeley resembling the Infrared VIs, the mix of white and grey with hits of Infrared truly belongs to the Trainer SC II. In fact, MJ was seen wearing the SC IIs back in the day.

The Air Jordan 6 ‘Tinker’ drops tomorrow, October 6th, at Titan. The shoe retails for Php 9,445.
