The last pair from ‘Tinker Series’ drops this weekend

Posted on Dec 20, 2018 in Jordan Brand

2018’s been a busy year for Jordan Brand and Tinker Hatfield. From re-releasing some of his greatest hits (Air Jordan 3, Air Jordan 11) to releasing special silhouettes (Air Jordan 3 JTH and Air Max hybrids), Jordan Brand closes the year out with the last pair from the Tinker Icons Series. The Air Jordan 8 ‘Air Raid’.

Back in the early 90s, Tinker was on a hot streak, creating some of Nike’s most memorable sneakers. From the Huaraches to the Air Jordans, Tinker was at the forefront of innovation. Also released in the early 90s was the Air Raid, Nike’s first outdoor basketball shoe. Aside from the durable outsole, the Air Raid’s distinctive design were the cross straps. This popular “strapped in” look eventually made it to the Air Jordan 8.

For the Tinker Series, the Air Raid’s familiar ‘Urban Jungle’ colorway makes it on to the Air Jordan 8. From the multi-color chenille patch to the colorful print incorporated at the heel. “Live Together” is printed on to the shoe’s heel tabs. Expect to see the Air Jordan 8 ‘Tinker/Air Raid’ in stores this Saturday, December 22 at Titan.
