Release Reminder: Air Jordan XIII Retro ‘Olive’

Posted on Jan 19, 2018 in Jordan Brand

Growing up, we were “brainwashed” to think that it’s always best to wear shoes that are either white or close to primary color wheel. In the case of the Air Jordan, you expect to see a Black/Red colorway due to his ties to Chicago. So when the Olive 9s dropped back in ’94, it was one of the first unconventional colorways made for a Jordan shoe. No one really understood it, and eventually hit the outlets. But tastes change, and when the shoe was re-released in 2002, the Olive 9s garnered a cult following, now making it one of the more revered Jordan models.

Now here’s where we ask the question– why hasn’t Jordan Brand transfer the colorway into another Jordan silhouette? Sure, we’ve seen olive-based Jordan sneakers over the years, but never close to how the Olive 9 looked like. It took them 24 years, but I guess the timing is right. Jordan Brand is releasing the Air Jordan XIII Retro ‘Olive’ this weekend. Taking on a soft suede/nubuck upper, the Olive colorway works perfectly with the 13 and the red Jordan accents complement the silhouette just like the 9s.

The Air Jordan XIII Retro ‘Olive’ drops this Saturday, January 20 at Titan, and will retail for Php 9,445.
