Jordan’s “Best Hand in the Game” Collection drops tomorrow
Who is truly the greatest of all time? Our fathers/grandfathers would always consider Wilt Chamberlain or Bill Russell the greatest in their era, kids these days would think LeBron or Kobe holds that title. But at the end of the day, it’s still hard to compete against the greatness that is Michael Jordan. Honoring MJ’s greatest achievements, Jordan Brand introduces the “Best Hand in the Game” Collection — four renditions of the shoe that started it all for His Airness, the Air Jordan 1. It made perfect sense as Jordan loved (or still loves) to play cards and the four pairs represent hands that would eventually win the game. Each pair from the collection uses a mix of soft suede and premium leather and black toe blocking, one thing iconic to the Air Jordan 1s.
Not all four colorways are available locally. The Blue Moon/Straight Flush is a US exclusive, while the Clay Green/Full House colorway is available in the US and Greater China. The two other colorways — Track Red and Yellow Ochre are available throughout Asia Pacific, Europe, Middle East, Africa, and Latin America. Here’s a closer look and story behind the two pairs you can cop:
Track Red // 6 of a Kind
MJ’s winning mindset shows through in the six-of-a-kind hand on the right insole of the Track Red colorway.
Yellow Ochre // Royal Flush
The Yellow Ochre colorway celebrates Jordan’s five Most Valuable Player awards with a royal flush on the shoe’s right insole.
The Air Jordan 1 “Best Hand in the Game” Collection drops tomorrow and will retail for Php 8,095. Titan is offering the pairs via electronic raffle. You have until 2pm to send in your entries. Go through a couple more images below of the two available colorways.
