Jordan celebrates Westbrook’s record breaking feat this Monday

Posted on Apr 8, 2018 in Jordan Brand

On April 9th, 2017, Russell Westbrook had his 42nd triple double (50/16/10) of the season, breaking a 55-year old record set by Oscar Robertson (the Big O had 41). Westbrook, like Robertson, is only the 2nd player in NBA history to average a triple double for an entire season.

To celebrate this record-breaking feat, Jordan Brand created a special colorway for Russ’ signature shoe, the Why Not Zer0.1. Dubbed the “Triple Double King”, the shoe is done with a black upper, accented by OKC colors, coupled with a multi-colored speckle on the shoe’s heel. The shoe’s outsole is all about the numbers – 04/09/17 is found on the right outsole, the date he recorded his 42nd triple double, while 31/10/10 on the left, which is Westbrook’s triple double average during the ’16-’17 season.

The Jordan Why Not Zer0.1 “Triple Double King” drops tomorrow, April 10, at Titan and Capital for Php 6,595. If you can’t wait to get the shoe, they are currently available at Nike Park (Greenbelt) and the Athlete’s Foot (Glorietta).
