Jordan Brand releases the Air Jordan IX Retro in Gym Red

There was a time when only Brand Jordan athletes got the sickest colorways. Back in the early ’00s, Mike Bibby, Derek Anderson, Darius Miles and Quentin Richardson had PEs that never hit the market and we all wanted it. Over the last few years, Jordan Brand’s been releasing retros that are closer to the player exclusives. This weekend, we’re getting the Air Jordan IX Retro ‘Gym Red’.

While these IXs are technically a brand new sneaker, the patent leather overlays are quite reminiscent to what QRich wore during his days with the LA Clippers. While his PEs had black outsoles, these retros come close to what Q had back then.

The Air Jordan IX Retro ‘Gym Red’ is set to drop tomorrow, October 5th, at Nike.com, select Nike stores (Nike Park, Nike Forum) and partner stockists such as Titan. The shoe retails for Php 9,445.
