Fresh Prince fans need these Jordans this weekend

Posted on Aug 11, 2020 in Jordan Brand

Yo homes, smell ya later!

When you talk about the Air Jordan V, one can either think of MJ’s aerial assaults or the Fresh Prince of Bel-Air. Will Smith rocked the Vs on the show during its 6 season run and the ‘Grapes’ were synonymous to his loud Bel-Air vibes. Back in 2013, Jordan Brand paid homage to the Fresh Prince with his own variation of the V and this weekend, we’re getting an alternate renditiion of the classic sneaker.

Ditching the grey uppers seen on the ‘Bel-Air’ Vs from 2013, the ‘Ghost Green’ Air Jordan Vs go for an all-white upper paired with a black tongue and eyestays. Pops of neon are seen throughout the the Jumpman logos, midsole and the 23 stitched on the heel. A deep royal midsole grounds the loud sneaker as the alternate neon colors dress up each shoe. The shoe’s lining is reminiscent of Will Smith’s outfits on the show, giving more pop to the Air Jordan V.

The Air Jordan V Retro ‘Alternate Bel-Air’ drops this Saturday, August 15, via nike.com/ph. The shoe retails for Php 9,695. If you luck out during release day, expect the shoe to drop at select Jordan stockists in the near future.
