Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG ‘He Got Game’

Would you believe it’s been 30 years since “He Got Game” came out in cinemas? Spike Lee’s masterpiece was one of the greatest sports films ever made according to several movie sites. Ray Allen was still a young Buck back then and Denzel definitely played the OG with his fresh Air Jordan 13s straight out of prison. To celebrate the movie’s 30th anniversary, Jordan Brand brought out an Air Jordan 1 prior to the release of the 13s later this year.

Although Jesus Shuttlesworth (Allen) wore the Air Uptempo 97s and Foamposite Pros in the film, these Js are inspired by Shuttlesworth’s team, Lincoln High School. Allen, together with NBA players John Wallace, Walter McCarty, Travis Best and Hill Harper (not an NBA player) rocked the hyper royal blue unis in the film. The predominantly blue uppers use tumbled leather and as well as the classic nylon tongue contrasted by the white Swoosh and Wings logo. A leather tongue tab completes the look for this sleek silhouette.

The Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG “Hyper Royal” or “He Got Game” drops this Saturday, July 7th, at Titan. The store made the shoe available via their RSVP program earlier today but expect some pairs to make it in store or their online portal come this weekend. The shoe retails for Php 8,095.
