Tassels, Plaids, and Rhinestones

jscott Hey guys, I reported this about a month ago but never had the time to go back and take photos of. So despite the delay, here it is. After all, what’s important is that it’s available, it’s still coppable, and still at retail prices. adidas has flipped the script in a way, but definitely makes sense. They’re turning their Greenbelt branch into their flagship store- thus putting some of the better looking pairs here. Though this doesn’t relieve the OCS branch in Trinoma of any heat. The Originals Concept store as well as the Performance store will carry their ish. It’s just that with the the Originals, there will be some models that won’t be available here, that’s available in Trinoma, and vice versa.

One glaring difference in stock would be the ObyOs. As you can see, The S/S collection’s in full effect- from Jeremy Scott, David Beckham and KZK. Kazuki Kuraishi’s stuff is the most wearable of the bunch, at least that’s what I think. David Beckham’s joints are a hit or miss for shoe fans. As you can see below, KZK’s designs are reminiscent of past models, but definitely given a muted, and clean look to match the Jap feel, yes, even for the summer. kzk

jscott4 Now let’s move on over to the other end of the spectrum. Jeremy Scott’s been releasing the craziest shit over the past year. From the exaggerated tongue, to the JS Wings, to everything! Let’s not even bother with the apparel. JScott’s really out there to be out there. This season, he’s got the Nizza JS’ which have tassels like you wouldn’t believe. The Nizza JS comes in two colorways- the blue/white and the all black edition (as seen in the background). He also came out with a golf lookin’ shoe that has 3 tongues (but not like the one that came out F/W 09). jscott5

jscott3 Jeremy Scott’s really pushing the envelope here. The shoe below is the JS Rockstar. Ofcourse, no rockstar shoe won’t be complete with rhinestones. The martial art boot is now perfect for the club, or Handlebar. Take your pick. I do recall seeing the JS Wings (technicolor cw) but I guess some eccentric dude picked it up already. There’s still the gold/silver JS Logo if you’re feelin’ the vibe.

Going back to David Beckham’s collection, James Bond (UNDFTD) still has his back. I’m not really feelin’ the mids, but the retooled Micropacer and Rod Lavers are more to my liking. Check out the rest of the DB ObyOs below. db3

The subject of this post was about Tassels, Plaids and Rhinestones. Here below are the Plaid Superstars. They’re alright if you want to keep it on the low. Don’t think that the stuff here’s the only thing in stock over at adidas Greenbelt. Ofcourse the Sleek Series is available for the ladies, the Samba World Cup pack is there, Superstars, Vespas, Porsche Designs, and the rest is all there. Ransom (below) has a better selection here than over at Trinoma. So yes, Originals are now bountiful over at the Greenbelt store. I suggest you do drop by. After all, you don’t want to miss out.
