ObyO Fall/Winter 2009 at adidas Originals Trinoma

I’m a week late but what’s important is that you know that it’s out there. Adidas Originals released a boat load of the F/W ObyO line over at the Originals store at Trinoma. Got the tip from fellow ‘head kingcrux and checked them out last Sunday.

Last February, the three stripes released their ObyO collection with three artists- Jeremy Scott, Alyasha and Kazuki (KZK). This season, they released more Jeremy Scott, KZK, and David Beckham (yes, Becks is now a designer). If you’re the eccentric type, most of Scott’s stuff would be to your liking. He initially released a shoe with the huge trefoil as well

as one with wings. The JS Wings are back (now in Silver and Black) as well as couple more crazy looking kicks- the 3 Tongue Altitude- a shoe with 3 sneaker tongues in 2 colorways=fresh. He’s also got the Conductor High with an extended tongue. Yes, there’s just one tongue, but it’s hella long.

Kazuki’s also back but brings in Jap uber-brand Neighborhood into the mix. Neighborhood collabs with adidas over the years have been great and this is no exception. Kazuki and Neighborhood went with the whole lo-fi look with their logos being the only distinguisihing mark on the kicks. adidas made a special logo with Neighborhood- the trefoil with the skull and crossbones- that really gives you that stamp that your shoe is iller than the average.

The last collection of the bunch is David Beckham’s. England’s most popular product got together with adidas and Undefeated’s James Bond (not 007) to come up with a full on collection for ObyO. James Bond made 3 sneakers, 2 of which are available here- the Official Mid as well as some ZX 8000s (the yellow/orange one is already reserved, folks). I don’t like DB that much but I’m a ZX fan so I’m saving up for those (I just hope they’re still available when I drop by).

Aside from all the footwear, the ObyO collection also carries apparel. So do drop by the adidas Originals store at Trinoma. There’s a 1 pair per size run for the kicks so consider yourself warned.
