cushe TAO

Last Sunday I passed by Trinoma once again to check out a couple of things. adidas Originals had a couple of offerings (OT Tech complete pack, Fafi, Def Jam, and a couple more), Nike had their usual Nike Basketball stuff, and the rest had, well, stock. I dropped by the newly opened flagship store of Cushe on the 3rd level to pick up these joints. I was at their launch last March 12 and would like to congratulate Gilson and George for a great turnout and for bringing Cushe to our shores. Aside from picking up the Manuka Fearless, I picked these up as well. This is the Cushe Tao.
The Tao comes in two colorways, a black/grey and a beige/cream one. Although it is summer, I decided to pick up the darker shade. Actually, I rarely use grey in my wardrobe, so this is quite a stretch for me. I wanted to see if I could rock grey/black– a color blocking bland as can be. The Tao has a soft full grain leather and suede upper. Like the other Cushe pairs before, they’re all stitched and detailed to perfection. The lace loops/eyelets are different from all the other pairs they’ve released before. Another cool thing about the shoe is the leather and vantilated micro fiber mesh lining. Unlike the Manuka line, the Tao’s sole has the lazy boy pattern to provide a better grip. I’ve been wearing the shoe for a day now and it feels great. I’ll wear the shoe a couple more times to see if they’ll be good to be an everydayer.
For more on Cushe’s offerings, I suggest you drop by the Trinoma store to the collection up close.
