Other Nike Drops

I’ve been to a couple of Nike stores over the week. I dropped by BHS, Trinoma and Eastwood and saw these must-cop pieces. All four pairs are unique in their own way and I wouldn’t mind owning each and every pair if possible.

Air Jordan 1 Shadow Grey
Another AJ1 release for the iconic pair, this one will definitely suit up with anything you wear with its dress-friendly colorway. With a combination of black pebbled leather and a shadow grey (who comes up with these names? haha) suede, it shouldn’t be too hard finding something to match up with this.

Zoom Kobe IV Draft Day

June 26, 1996 could’ve been the best day for the then-Charlotte Hornets. But they needed some girth and a solid foundation and decided to trade away their future for a flopping Serb. Nothing against Vlade, I love Vlade (and I can’t wait to meet him again this coming week) but the fortunes definitely turned for the team that got the cocky one in return for Vlade. The Kobe Love continues anew with this new release. Actually, news of this colorway came out way back but only released this September. With the 6.26.96 on the heel to commemorate the special date and the hornets colors throughout the shoe. So for all you Kobe lovers out there, sell your kidneys quick as this colorway is quite limited.

Air Alpholution “Carbon Fiber”

As I mentioned before, this has got to be one of the cooler non-signature pairs out there. This colorway has that carbon fiber pattern, reminding most sneakerheads of Jason Kidd’s bug eyes, the Zoom Flight 95. The carbon fabric wraps around the heel, giving the shoe undeniable ankle support. I’ve seen this pair on Jai Reyes and a couple more players in the UAAP. Nice, right? Coppable? Definitely.

Zoom Soldier 3

I wish these were LeBron’s sixth shoe, and not that bulky one we’ve seen the past year called the Six. We all know that LeBron plays in these during the playoffs (well, most of the time) and this has got to be the cleanest and best looking colorway for this edition. I’m not a fan of the shoe really, but if given a choice I’d wear this one over the over colorways released.

Playoff Pack and More

Someone commented that I didn’t have a close up of the Nike Zoom MVP Playoff Pack. So when I watched a movie over at Glorietta, I decided to drop by Nike and take pics of the shoe. I was a bit surprised to see the Earth Day pack of the same pair(well the Trash Talk editions). They also had another colorway of the Zoom Soldier IIIs. You’ll definitely see these on LeBron’s dogs.

What’s great about these Trash Talk Earth Day editions is that they’re made of 100% recyclable materials. From Nike Grind rubber, synthetic leathers, polyester, and used EVA. The stitching here is just awesome and yes, earth-friendly.

Nike Playoff Pack: Now Available

Nike Basketball has been pretty solid all season long. From the Six to the IVs, Nike hasn’t let up in terms of bringing quality kicks to the court. They released a special pack for All-Star Weekend and they’ve now released the Playoff Pack. Originally 6 pairs, the Playoff Pack is now available at all Nike stores nationwide. I wasn’t able to take a shot of the MVP up close (it’s not because Nash and the Suns didn’t make it, but I just forgot), but took shots of the other four- the Zoom Soldier 3, Kobe IV, Max Spot Up, and the Zoom Flight Club.

Zoom LeBron Soldier III

The Zoom Soldiers of course are LeBron’s sleds during the Playoffs and hopes to make some memories with this year’s edition. Not too hot on these, but LBJ fans wouldn’t mind. They’re pretty sturdy, strong and built like a beast, just like LeBron. I’m currently watching them pummel the Pistons to the ground. Looks like the broom’ll be out early for Detroit.

Zoom Kobe IV

The Zoom Kobe IVs are a beaut. I personally like the laces. What’s not seen here are the icons on the other side of all the sneakers. I’m sure these are gonna run out at the stores pretty fast. Flywire’s been a god send for 2009 and I’m expecting a lot more from the technology in the coming months.

Air Max Spot Up- Dirk Nowitzki PE

I’ve always been a low-top kinda guy. These mids are just a monstrosity. Well, it kinda fits Dirk. So I guess it’s ok. I must admit that Dirk’s been showing up lately. Well, except for the 14-point performance yesterday, he’s been pretty good. I guess the weight of the Mavs is just too much for the man form Wurzburg. Well, not Barea’s.

Zoom Flight Club- Tony Parker PE

Don’t they look like Kidd’s and GP’s ride a few years back? Regardless of how they look, this sneaker’s been on the baller’s radar for a while. What can I say, they look pretty cool. And with TP9′s 38 special yesterday, they must feel real good. Tony Parker’s been unstoppable as of late.
So if you believe it’s the shoes, head to Nike now.
