We’ve announced the released of the PUMA x UNDFTD Nylon Ripstop Clyde Pack a few weeks ago but here’s a reminder once again that it’s already tomorrow, Saturday, September 24 over at the Secret Fresh Gallery at the RONAC Art Center from 2-10pm. I do suggest you pick up this pack as the pack is quite nice and definitely a must-have for sneakerheads all over. I know most of you are Nike and Jordanheads but if you know Undefeated, Puma and the iconic Clyde, then I don’t need to tell you anything else. Aside from the release of the pack, PUMA is also setting up an exhibit of the history of the Clyde.

If you can’t make it tomorrow’s affair, you can pick up the pack at Titan FORT or Crate. The insignia blue/rio red cw is exclusive to Titan while the burnt olive/white is exclusive to Crate. Any which way you look at it, this whole pack is worth it. See you all tomorrow at RONAC for this PUMA x UNDFTD release.

Aren’t you happy other brands are definitely getting into the picture? After PUMA’s push for PUMA Social and FAAS, this is definitely a great way to get the true sneakerheads into the picture. Since April 2011, PUMA and UNDFTD (Undefeated) created a special collection centered around PUMA’s most iconic shoe, the Clyde. If you’ve been following the collection, Undefeated has definitely lent their design and style know-how to the Clyde. They’ve used premium leather and canvas, both materials PUMA has yet to use on the Clyde. For this coming weekend’s release, they are using Ripstop Nylon on four different colorways.

On Saturday, September 24, Puma will be dropping the PUMA x UNDFTD NRC (Nylon Ripstop Clyde) Pack at Titan and Crate. There is an open to the public exhibit at the Secret Fresh Gallery from 2pm-10pm. Not only will there be a display of the PUMA x UNDFTD collection, but also the history of the Clyde. You can cop the collection at the Puma pop-up store during the launch or at Titan FORT and Crate (G/F LRI bldg, N.Garcia, Makati). These Clydes retail for 4,950 php. Crate Manila along with graffiti artist a SBTG and Royalefam dropped a specially-designed Dunk Low to give props to the Black Mamba Kobe Bryant. As this is a special release, there are only 8 pairs in the world. 8 pairs! If you decide to get it (as there are a couple left I believe), only you and 7 others have this specially designed pair. For more on the shoe, the details shout Kobe altogether– from the purple, the number 24 and the word MVP on the heel. Aside from the Kobe infusions, the detail on the shoe is amazing– Crate and Manila is now on the tongue and the SBTG lace lock plate is also in place.

Sneakerheads were there to witness the drop and enjoyed the event with great musuc, free booze and grub. Jave Evangelista (Crate) gave out commemorative event shirts as well as raffled off a couple SBTG Tees. Some cats were just plain lucky as one lucky head won his umpteenth raffle. It was nice to see the regulars and talk shop about the latest drops as well as reminisce about the past year’s craziness.

Ofcourse sneaker events won’t be complete without the sic kicks. I was extremely lazy that night and rarely whipped out my cam to take shots of the heat people wore. Some notables were the tons of SBs, Jordans, KZKs, A-ZX Neighborhoods, Visvims, ObyOs, and a couple others. There was enough heat to set LRI  on fire! Ofcourse, Jave had to wear the best of the night, a 1 of 1 SBTG(Royalefam) x Crate Manila piece (see below). The Mongster also came with heat wearin’ the SBTG x Nitro:licious Dunk (did I get this right? Or is this a 1 of 1 too?).

There may be a chance to cop the ultra exclusive Mamba Dunks over at Crate. Give them a call or drop on by the ground floor of the LRI Plaza from Wednesdays to Sundays. Crate, first ever Manila Sneaker Store x Graffiti Artist x Streetwear brand collab. SBTG x Royalefam x Crate x Nike. What more can I say? Hope to see you guys there! Oh, bring some cold hard cash. It’s gonna cost ya.

As mentioned before, the sneaker scene is not all about the sneakers. You can’t just wear anything and pray  your sneakers will do the rest. Ofcourse, the Tee you’re rocking will matter eventually. So why not rock your kicks on your tees as well? Enter Kiks Tyo. A japanese brand, Kiks Tyo’s been in the biz a couple of years now. I personally own a couple of Tees. At first, I bought mine over at Singapore. Now, they’re available at Crate! Actually, they’ve been available at Crate since early this year (correct me if I’m wrong guys).

Kiks Tyo’s got all sorts of Tees. But the most memorable and most recognizable ones are the ones with the sexy Jap models on them. For those who want to flaunt their kicks but too shy to have hot chicks rock ‘em for ya, there are other designs. I didn’t take photos of them, because I know you guys want to see chicks rock kicks.

For the first 2 images here, I did not print that. Also, I do not have a collab with Kiks Tyo (I wish I had). The M David here stands for Milen David (Filipino? I believe so). Milen David is an artist living and working in Japan. Her style is minimalist and usually takes day-to-day visuals and translates these to minimalist artworks. She utilizes markers and brushpens to create organic and high-contrast drawings. Ofcourse, these Tees are limited (along with all the other Model Tees) and def cops.

So this ends my 3-part Crate series. Crate is located at the G/F of the LRI Design Plaza along Reposo, Makati City. They’re open from Wednesdays-Sundays. Aside from Kicks and Kiks, Tees from Sole City, Royalefam, Neighborhood, Stussy and other brands are available. Sneaker Freaker Mags are also available.
