August is a crazy month for us. Between the PBA Finals, NBA Fit, PBA Draft, Youth Olympics, FIBA Worlds, and NBA Asia Challenge, this has got to be the craziest it’s ever been. This month makes Opening Week, the Finals or other major events seem like chicken scratch. But amidst all this, we all need to take time out and appreciate the finer things in life.

Yes, the wait is finally over. 2 years of looking at one pair that eluded me the last time they dropped is finally with me. I finally got my Infrareds. I keep telling friends and readers- you can have your Dunks, AF1s, Jordans and SBs. Just give me my runners and I’m set. And the Infrareds are among my most coveted pairs.

Yes, they are GRs. But it took me a good two years to get my hands on them without spending a fortune. I could’ve gone the route of crazy kicks collector and pick the first pair I see on eBay. But no, I knew it was coming out again. I knew it was gonna happen. And this time around, it was worth the wait.

Thanks to P and KB for makin’ this happen. Coordinating, ordering, sending numerous emails back and forth, and even having a courier pick ‘em up made the story behind these kicks much sweeter. I’m sure you’ve seen these online at one point or another. I’ve also had my share of inquiries from readers about some of the releases you see here. Going through NSWs Fall ’10 collection, you’ll see a lot of classics done in new colorways, new hybrids and just a really good look all around. The Omega Pack, will be out at various times beginning the last week of July.

For the Fall, or what we call the Rainy Season, Nike’s releasing a couple of AMs for everyone. Above, you’ll see the Air Maxim 1 ND. The Maxim, which has received mixed reviews, myself included, will come out in two colorways, both retailing for 6,995php. The steep price for the hybrid has kept fans from picking up the pair. The shoe below is the AM90 Premium LE, retailing for 5,995php. Not exactly the Infrareds everyone’s waiting for, but a classic shoe done with premium materials. I saw this shoe a few months back during the showcase, and they stood out amidst all the Air Attack pairs that were on hand.

This is the Air Max 90 Moire Current ND. A different colorway released over the summer and is still available. Red’s a pretty strong color in the Fall, but who’s complaining, right? The 90 Moire Currents go for 5,495 php. This is also a hybrid, but why is it much cheaper than the Maxim? This is really bothering me. I guess flywire tech’s just more expensive than Current and Moire’s one piece upper. The shoe below, The Air Max 1 ND, is what most heads are lookin’ out for. The AM1 below’s part of the Omega Pack. I’m sure you’ve seen the special tongue tag on the BW Gen II which is also part of the pack. The shoe will also have the same logo on it and will retail for 5,295 php. There’s another colorway (black/white/maize) what should be available for the AM1.

Now ladies, don’t think us guys get all the love from the Swoosh. There are a couple of AMs for you too! The shoe you see here is the Air Max BW Lite Textile and retails for 4,295 php. Available in the 3 colorways, the BW Lites are much different than the BW. With a breathable mesh upper and a simpler midsole (well, except for the Big Window), this shoe will work out at the gym or your morning run.

For those needing new apparel, NSW’s got a couple to rock in the Fall. The Women’s Tee(1,695 php), Women’s Best Windrunner (4,750 php), and the Shoe Polo (1,795php) for the guys should be available in the next few days. Lookin’ good? This is just the tip of the iceberg, folks. Nike’s NSW Rainy Season collection is on point and should be in your shelves soon.

The shoe on top of course is the AM90 done in a green/yellow/white hue. I initially saw these a few months back when Nike gave us a sneak peek at what’s to come for this season. I’m actually surprised that they dropped them this soon. But with the UAAP opening last weekend, can you say FEU? The shoe definitely resembles the Tamaraws’ team colors. Now, they weren’t done for FEU per se, but they can work as an off-court shoe for the Tams.

The other AMs here are from  the Air Max BW Gen II Omega Pack. Ofcourse, these aren’t your old school BWs. The Gen II has the Torch tech on the upper as well as the Free outsole to complete the revamped look. The white laces and BW area kills the obsidian/liquid lime cw for me. It could’ve been so much better! Oh well, the Pack’s available. Everyone’s been bugging me about the AM Omega Pack. It should be out real soon.

There are other pairs new for NSW, especially for Dunks, and Royals, but hey, I run this site. AMs rule NSW for me.

So when this specially made Air Attack box was sitting on my desk that day, it definitely got me workin’ the right way that week. As you can see, these are the Air Max 90 with the metallic/reflectorized upper with the red outsoles. The AM90 is one of the more comfy AMs out there (though I’ve yet to try the 2009/2010s, I heard those are instant classics). I’m sure you’ve all seen the secret behind Nike Air video.

The Air Attack Pack’s been out the past month and is available at most Nike outlets- Nike Park BHS, Trinoma, Stadium GB5, and Urban Athletics among others. I’ve featured them a few weeks back, too. The Air Max 90- celebrating it’s 20th year this year comes in 4 other colorways, all rockable and coppable. The only downside to this model is that the 3M/reflectors crease with ease. But hey, you gotta wear every pair, so live with it.

The viral, one of the funniest ever, gives you a quirky look at where your air for your Nike Airs come from. As you can see from the air tanks on the store display, Paul Pierce, P-Rod, Lance Armstrong’s air makes up the air for our Air Maxs. If you’ve been following my site, I really love trainers/runners more than ball shoes so this definitely is a treat for me. Though the whole pack is not here, we have a great selection available- Air Max 1, Air Max 90, Air Maxim, Air Max 2009, Air Max Tailwind, Shox NZ 2.0 and the latest one- the Air Max 2010.

There are just so many pairs to cop in this pack, but here are some noteworthy kicks worth copping:

Missed out on the Hypermax Tennis Balls? Here’s the AM 2010 version that’ll definitely break some necks. For those who enjoy Shox, here’s an AM version of the NZ, the NZ 2.0. Mind you, all the pairs come in multiple colors. And when I mean multiple, we’re talking about 25-30 pairs across all models.

Maxims are better than the OG copies that came out last year. Definitely coppable. The kicks below, the Maxim and the AM90, both are done in silver with accents. What’s great about them is that they’re both 3Ms. Check out my test photo of the kicks before and after flash.

Now, these AM90s I’m on the fence on. They do carry the white/team orange colorway. Any takers? I’ll pass on them. Something looks wrong with it. Maybe not enought grey/orange? It’s like they were undecided and had to pass their papers on this one.

Here’s a couple more Nike NSW pairs that came out this month. The Air Max series actually had a couple of pairs- the AM1, AM90, and the AM BWs. On top of the classic silhouettes, they also had Torched versions of the 1 and the Maxim. These two AM90s are the simplest of the bunch. Not really feelin’ it, but hey, they are classic silhouettes that might cater to more conservative kids. If there is such a thing.

The Lunar Rejuven8 has made a couple of appearances here at Sole Movement. I decided to take a photo of the 4 available colorways at Nike Park BHS. These cws are also available at other Nike stores around town.

You guys love it or hate it?

I was at Rockwell Tuesday and decided to check out the kicks at Nike Rockwell. This was really the calm before the storm. Ofcourse we all know the Kobe V dropped Friday and the AJVI Black/Reds dropped today, but here are the kicks worth copping ASIDE from the aforementioned pairs.

The AM90 you see on top is for the ladies. Nice colorway, and that’s all you need to know and take from this post regarding it. AM 90s are classic and this is no exception.

The Jordan 2  Retro is part of the 25th or Silver Anniversary of the Jordan line. All 25 pairs will carry the white/metallic silver/natural grey and this ofcourse is no exception. I always felt the 2s were too chunky. Jordanheads will harp on these regardless. Detail is great here as you can see the close ups of the heel and the tongue.

The last shoe I got from this visit were these AM1s. They’ve been out for quite some time but this is the only time I’ve seen ‘em in person. Most of the S/S 201o AM1s will have this color blocking- a grey quarter with a swoosh, tip, overlay and mudguard in one color. The shoe’s colorway (white/black/Scuba-blue) is just neat, perfect and safe for whatever occasion. All these kicks SHOULD be available around town. They’re clean, safe and perfect for everyday use.

With so many drops this weekend, I had to separate the NSW drops to the performance pairs. With the popularity of the Dunk the past two years, most of the nice drops this weekend were, well, Dunks. Here’s three more added to the COAST wars if you will. The North reps us with 2 colorways surely to wow some heads. The orange/black colorway looks quite similar to High that came out a couple of years ago. The purple/black one is definitely clean and would work with anything. What’s great with these two releases is that it’s now veering away from the speckled look we’ve had the past couple of months. The stripes on the toe box definitely gives a nice, detailed touch to a somewhat simple looking shoe.

For those fiending for the speckled look, another East speckled Dunk is added to the mix. The grey/blue/white/volt pattern works well. I personally like the way the blue pops against the grey/white colorway. Lastly, there’s an AM90 for the ladies. You can’t see it clearly here but the eyelets and the heel area’s a faint pink and not white. But you know what? You’ll only appreciate these pairs in person. My camera skills can only take these sneakers so far. Check out the Nike Stadium over at Greenbelt 5 near Chili’s.
