The AM90 Laser Blues dropped around September/October 2010 and for some reason a lot of pairs made it to our shores. Everyone wanted its Infrared brother more, thus the Laser Blues sat on most shelves. With a great price tag on them (4,295 php retail), it was rather odd to see them sit that long. Some stores gave up quick and offered them at 10-20% off. Still, I hesitated. I got my Infrareds and the Laser Blues weren’t an immediate concern.

Fast forward to July 2011. I swung by Market!Market! for a game of laser tag. I dropped by Sports Warehouse and saw a ton of Air Maxes, Js, and other pairs worth picking up. But my eyes were set on the Laser Blues. Lo and Behold, the AM90s were 40% off. 4,295.00 went all the way down to 2,577.00. A come up, and a definite-no-need-to-think-about-pickup. Air Force 1s and Dunks are Nike Sportswear staples. They’ll forever be there, it’s just a matter of material, color or story behind them that’ll change. As it is always, white on whites are usually sold at the first quarter of the year and come out again during the summer. Nike released a couple of AF1s that are perfect for the season. First up are the AF1 Lows with the gingham lining. White AF1s with black or grey gingham lining with the matching swoosh to create a simple contrast. The gum sole completes the look, need I say more? The AF-1 Low retails for 4,095 php.

Aside from the basics and the ginghams, Nike also releases the True Colors/White Pack for the Summer. As this is the most opportune time to rock white kicks, Nike released a set of six pairs (an AF1, Foam AF1 High, Dunk High, Air BW Gen II, ACG Lunar Vengeance and an AM 90) all done with white uppers and translucent soles. Three made it here (unless I missed out on something)- the Dunk High, AF1 Low, and the AM90 (though this is also part of the Premium Pack for CBF). They are a bit pricey as they used special materials (icy or translucent soles, graphic on the underside of the midsole, and the crinkled patent leather- which Nike’s been using an awful lot this year) for the classic pairs. The AF1 retails for 6,095 php, the Dunk High for 5,295 php, and the AM90 for 5,995 php. You can now pick all these new pairs from NSW at Nike Parks and Stadiums nationwide.

Nike released the first set of the ACG – Air Max series early this year and they recently released the rest of the pack over the weekend. An AM1 and AM90 come in different colorways this time around. To a certain extent, these colorways are easier to wear compared to the first set they released last January. Each pair comes with an extra set of laces. The Air Max 90 retails for 4,295 php while the Air Max 1 goes for 5,295 php. The ACG Air Max Pack is now available at the following stores:

Nike’s been dropping stuff all over the place and it’s been a while since I’ve posted some non-basketball kicks from the Swoosh. The ACG pack dropped a couple of weeks ago at Nike stores and released a couple of gems such as the women’s AM 87 you see right above this writeup. Going back to the ACG pack, Nike used ACG-inspired colors to the classic pairs (the 87 and 90). Both pairs come with extra laces and use the ACG logo on the tongue and heel. I’m waiting for the other colorways from the ACG pack. These are alright, especially if you want to change up your collection.

My cousin walked in wearing these Neutral Grey/Volt AM90s. Obviously he didn’t get ‘em here. For all you Air Max fans. my cousin copped these in HK. Damn shame they didn’t reach our shores. Anyhoo, just had to post the goodness I saw over the holiday break. More posts coming!

Nike’s got a couple of basketball kicks that dropped this week- the Zoom LBJ Ambassador III (Summit Lake Hornets cw), the Rare Air (new colorway), and the LeBron 8 (gs). All these are available at Nike stores and other stores carrying Nike Basketball products. The Ambassadors in this colorway look much better than the initial cw that came out. The grey on white definitely makes the shoe a clean one. The Rare Air (above), well… they are MJs trademark colors. Do I like ‘em? ehhh. But I know some heads would still gravitate towards these regardless. The LBJ 8s are done in Team USA colors, but only available in GS sizes.

On the NSW end, we see another Air Max 90 and Air Max Light to add to a loaded Air Max line that we’ve seen over the past couple of months. The Light brings in a Laser Blue-esque colorway to the table. Quality’s much better than the Laser Blue if you ask me. The AM90 comes in deep red/burgundy colorway and a mesh/leather upper. There’s also some patent leather to give the shoe an added dimension. The NSW line is also available at Nike Parks and Stadiums this week.

Surprise, surprise. With the disappointing release of the Infrareds locally, Nike has dropped a couple of Air Max 90s that’ll surely keep heads coming through. The Lasers- Laser Blue and Laser Pink, both OG colorways of the AM90, are now available at key Nike stores around town. This OG pack is paired up with 3 other colorways of the AM90 that are worth a second look.

The Air Max 90 retails for 4,295 php. Get yours now as we aren’t as to how many pairs are in circulation for these beauts.

August is a crazy month for us. Between the PBA Finals, NBA Fit, PBA Draft, Youth Olympics, FIBA Worlds, and NBA Asia Challenge, this has got to be the craziest it’s ever been. This month makes Opening Week, the Finals or other major events seem like chicken scratch. But amidst all this, we all need to take time out and appreciate the finer things in life.

Yes, the wait is finally over. 2 years of looking at one pair that eluded me the last time they dropped is finally with me. I finally got my Infrareds. I keep telling friends and readers- you can have your Dunks, AF1s, Jordans and SBs. Just give me my runners and I’m set. And the Infrareds are among my most coveted pairs.

Yes, they are GRs. But it took me a good two years to get my hands on them without spending a fortune. I could’ve gone the route of crazy kicks collector and pick the first pair I see on eBay. But no, I knew it was coming out again. I knew it was gonna happen. And this time around, it was worth the wait.

Thanks to P and KB for makin’ this happen. Coordinating, ordering, sending numerous emails back and forth, and even having a courier pick ‘em up made the story behind these kicks much sweeter. I’m sure you’ve seen these online at one point or another. I’ve also had my share of inquiries from readers about some of the releases you see here. Going through NSWs Fall ’10 collection, you’ll see a lot of classics done in new colorways, new hybrids and just a really good look all around. The Omega Pack, will be out at various times beginning the last week of July.

For the Fall, or what we call the Rainy Season, Nike’s releasing a couple of AMs for everyone. Above, you’ll see the Air Maxim 1 ND. The Maxim, which has received mixed reviews, myself included, will come out in two colorways, both retailing for 6,995php. The steep price for the hybrid has kept fans from picking up the pair. The shoe below is the AM90 Premium LE, retailing for 5,995php. Not exactly the Infrareds everyone’s waiting for, but a classic shoe done with premium materials. I saw this shoe a few months back during the showcase, and they stood out amidst all the Air Attack pairs that were on hand.

This is the Air Max 90 Moire Current ND. A different colorway released over the summer and is still available. Red’s a pretty strong color in the Fall, but who’s complaining, right? The 90 Moire Currents go for 5,495 php. This is also a hybrid, but why is it much cheaper than the Maxim? This is really bothering me. I guess flywire tech’s just more expensive than Current and Moire’s one piece upper. The shoe below, The Air Max 1 ND, is what most heads are lookin’ out for. The AM1 below’s part of the Omega Pack. I’m sure you’ve seen the special tongue tag on the BW Gen II which is also part of the pack. The shoe will also have the same logo on it and will retail for 5,295 php. There’s another colorway (black/white/maize) what should be available for the AM1.

Now ladies, don’t think us guys get all the love from the Swoosh. There are a couple of AMs for you too! The shoe you see here is the Air Max BW Lite Textile and retails for 4,295 php. Available in the 3 colorways, the BW Lites are much different than the BW. With a breathable mesh upper and a simpler midsole (well, except for the Big Window), this shoe will work out at the gym or your morning run.

For those needing new apparel, NSW’s got a couple to rock in the Fall. The Women’s Tee(1,695 php), Women’s Best Windrunner (4,750 php), and the Shoe Polo (1,795php) for the guys should be available in the next few days. Lookin’ good? This is just the tip of the iceberg, folks. Nike’s NSW Rainy Season collection is on point and should be in your shelves soon.
