Yessir, the TS Beast “Superman” is dropping today, exclusive to Titan. The shoe will be sold beginning 6pm today, so drop on by after school, after work, or whatever else you do during the day and cop these ill S-on-your-chest kicks. The shoe retails for 6,295 php and comes with a free DH12 Titan tee. Nice touch for a cool shoe, right? Get yours as the shoe is a limited release (40 pairs out of 650 worldwide). Cop it!

I told you Superman’s coming.

650 pairs worldwide, you can get your pair of the TS Beast Commander Superman next week as it drops over at Titan.  Warner Bros. and DC Comics have  teamed up with adidas and Dwight Howard to produce Superman-themed merchandise.  Embedded with Superman details throughout the shoe, the shoe is inspired by Superman’s headquarters “the fortress of solitude” (by now you would’ve gotten the crystallized background of the site), this TS Beast Commaner’s colors tie back to what the fortress has looked like in Superman comics and movies. From the white patent leather upper (which is made of a unique holographic/rainbow like material) to the Vision Blue 3 stripes and underlay of the upper all the way to the Blue laces, this shoe  was done right.

There are so many other things that symbolize Superman throughout the shoe that you just have to see it up close. Even the box is done in silver, something different from the brand with three stripes. The shoe retails for 6,295 php and is available in very limited quantities beginning next week. adidas new Signature shoes for Derrick Rose and Dwight Howard dropped over the past few weeks. Colorways were pretty safe- both had a white and black pair, simply for Home and Away purposes. But if you are Pooh and Superman, white and black just won’t do. Derrick Rose gets a red/black colorway for his shoe and Dwight gets his Beast Blue colorway for his TS Beast. Both are now available at the adidas and adidas carrying stores nationwide.

Last night, adidas released the TS Heat Check “Halloween” as well as the NBA Revolution 30 pack over at Titan. The event was well attended, with sneakerheads, ballers, and lovers of the game in attendance. adidas also announced their upcoming limited edition releases that will be available at Titan- adiZero Beast “Superman” cw, Snoop’s shoe (during ASW ’11), and the Crazy 8s. With those releases, at least we know adidas is making moves on the quickstrike game. The Halloween Heat Checks are pretty cool, and catch them on the floor this weekend on our PBA players. The Rev 30s are quite pricey, but if you’re a fan of any of the players available, I don’t see why a specially numbered and authenticated jersey is not worth your paycheck.

Aside from the shoe + jersey release, Titan also had their first ever 2K11 tournament to cap off the night. Rayver Cruz won the Celebrity Challenge against Powerade rookie Jai Reyes in the Finals. Rayver won himself 6 months worth of Titan Barbershop services as well as an NBA Rev 30 jersey of his choice.

I love Halloween. Behind my Birthday, Christmas, and April Fool’s Day, Halloween has always been marked on my calendar from year to year while growing up. We used to drive up to Zambales for November 1st and visit our departed, but drive up a day earlier and go trick or treatin’ over at Subic. Back then (and I mean way back then), most of the troops and service men were still living at the base and Halloween was just awesome. It really felt like you weren’t in the Philippines. We would walk all over and bring home bags and bags of treats for our ghoulish efforts. And I’m not talking about Storks or local candies. We would get candy corn, M&Ms, candied apples,  and other imported goodies. We would be wired all weekend long with all the sugary treats we looted and our parents tried their best to keep up.

This weekend, go out in style either on the hard court or while you’re out trick or treatin’ with the special edition adidas TS Heat Check. This I believe marks the first time adidas really released a “quickstrike” or come out with a themed release over here. Last year, they did the same for TD’s LT Commanders but it was a special make up for the big man. Not only can you check your game with the heat-sensitive 3 stripes, but now you could be walking all nightt long comfortably with the Heat Check in tow.

The shoe still has the same attributes of the original TS Heat Check–Puremotion technology on the soles, great lock-down and ankle support as well as mesh/synthetic upper. I’d rock these these all weekend long as the shoe is a good shoe to ball in- lightweight, comfortable and secure. Or while giving out candy or if I’m accompanying my nephews and nieces around, the Heat Check would definitely be a good look. With the colorway clearly celebrating the season, there is also a jack o’ lantern on the heel and the word BOO embedded on the shoe for a more spooky style. The adidas TS Heat Check is available this October for a limited time only. You can cop yours this Friday over at Titan Barbershop.

Aside from the shoe I posted yesterday, adidas released a couple of basketball shoes to close out the fall line for 2010. With the TS Heat Check really highlighting the past few months for the Three Stripes, the Pro Model 2010 has been under the radar but has been a shoe a lot of hoopers enjoy wearing. What you see right above is the Pro Model 2010 Lux. Unlike the regular 2010 model, this one has a cross-stitched upper and camo-like midsole, which I would like to believe is the “Lux” treatment. The clear outsole is alright but I’m not sure if I really like the over all look for the Lux.

From afar, it does give off that Koi look but not quite sure where this is really headed. But outside the looks, the Pro Model 2010 Lux is a comfy and light worth playing in (the regular 2010s come with the adicolor stripes to give your shoe a new look depending on your team’s colors).

Another pair/s for adidas Basketball is the TS Speedcut XR. Coming in three different colorways- a Celtics, Nets, and Nuggets makeup- are now available in store. I’m beginning to think that adidas has breathability in mind with their current line. The shoe has a perforated upper that makes the shoe breathable paired with sock lining. Unlike most baller shoes, the Speedcut doesn’t have a structured upper- it feels like the stitching is the only thing giving the shoe some form. I’d like to think that gives the shoe flexibility so that the guard/swingman can make quick cuts and laterals in the game. But the real technology is by the  forefoot. The shoe is supported by SPEEDCUT, which gives the wearer maximum stability without limiting the foot’s movement. It seems suspect but it’s tried and tested. Do check out the shoe in store to get a better feel.

For those who don’t rep the blue or green for their school, the third colorway of the TS Heat Check might stand out the most. I personally like the colorblocking on this one, with the blue and maroon accent on the pair. Do check out the shoe in store if the photos are too good to be true.

Currently, UP hotshot Mike Silungan and UST King Tiger Jeric Teng is rocking this colorway. Like it? They do. I’m not sure if you saw Mike talk about the shoe during the BTV feature on the media launch of the Heat Check. As you can see by the heel, this is B-Easy (Michael Beasley)’s PE. Funny, they don’t look at all like K-State or Miami. Could pass for the T-Wolves. Did adidas see that coming? Doubt it. This can work for Brook Lopez’ Nets uni too.

Among 80, entries, only 4 people got it right. Most of the entries I got had Mike Silungan, who had 17 points when he made his season debut against the Green Archers. BUT, the TS Heat Check ambassador who scored the most was Kevin Alas, who scored 18 points in his debut against the JRU Heavy Bombers. People might’ve read wrong and thought Kevin scored 4 points in Letran’s first game. The Alas who played in that game was Kevin’s brother, Jun-Jun. The Knights’ second game was Kevin’s season debut.

Aside from the ZXs, I was quite amused with the Toy Story pack by adidas. Both Woody and Buzz get their own special make up of the Vulkid Mid. Though I’m a fan of Buzz Lightyear, it’s Woody’s PE that I’m leaning towards to (Not that I would buy them). Ofcourse these came out right on time with the launch of the series’ 3rd installment. Did kids and parents alike gravitate towards ‘em? That we’ll never know.

Last but certainly not the least are the TS Low Motions. This ofcourse is a new colorway. I saw this in SG but opted not to take a photo while I was there. The shoe’s had great uppers to pair with the great sole tech. This cw is done in suede, which is nice, if you don’t plan on balling with them. Blue suede shoes, perhaps? Swing by adidas shops (both Performance and Originals) for these 3 finds.

Looking at the shoe up close, you can see how detailed the shoe can get. Though the shoe tends to look way too high (especially by the ankle area), this becomes an afterthought once you wear the shoe. With the shoe  using Fluid Motion tech on the soles, cushioning is excellent and  keeps you on your feet with ease. I’m not sure if you guys have seen the special feature BTV did on the launch, but players like Silungan and pro guard Josh Urbiztondo were raving about the shoe being lightweight and great for playing.
