MEGA’s back in the New Year with the adidas MEGA Torsion Flex Easy Run. This edition uses a breathable mesh upper as opposed to the synthetic or leather uppers found in last year’s release. The Torsion System and a MEGA-fied outsole gives the classic running tech a modern look.

The adidas MEGA Torsion Flex Easy Run retails for 6,295 php and is now available at the adidas Originals Concept Store.

Totally slipped my mind that I had photos of these. adidas brought the bling back just in time for the New Year. They released a pack of diamond-studded Forums- a low and a mid- which is perfect for those who want their stripes to stand out. The white on white Forum Lo RS is quite similar to the Superstar RS XL that dropped a few months back. Swarovskis are lined up on the side panel replacing the traditiona stripes and on the back panel with a multi-colored trefoil (above). The adidas Forum Lo RS retails for 10,995 php.

If the white lows are “too white” for you, there’s also a black/white Forum Mid included in this pack. The upper of the Forum Mid RS XL utilizes quality leather and some patent patches throughout the shoe for added texture. The shoe is also encrusted with crystal but this time located by the heel also forming adidas’ famous trefoil and wordmark. This black beauty also retails for 10,995 php. Both pairs are available at the adidas Originals retail space at Trinoma.

Here’s another pair I picked up. Still pushing their Hoth series this Holiday season, the adidas x Star Wars collab now features the Samba. Echoing Cool Runnings, the Jamaican bobsled team from the 1980 Winter Games, the Star Wars crew of Luke, Han Solo, Chewy and C-3PO get on their Rebel Alliance Superstar sled. The SW graphic can be seen on the tongue and a stitched on badge on the inner side of the tongue “Hoth Runnings Winter Games 1980″ (which is also on the heel panel). Adding more Star Wars into the Samba, the Rebel Alliance x adidas emblem is on the heel tab. To complete the shoe’s winterized look, the Samba SW uses a clear sole, making the shoe seem like it’s sitting on ice. The shoe also comes with 2 sets of extra laces and wrapped in a special Star Wars Hoth Runnings paper.

The Samba SW is still available in adidas stores for 4,695 php.

I guess I picked up more than a couple over the holidays. The Vespa collection’s been pretty low key but once you go into detail and see what’s out there, you’ll appreciate the line much more. This is actually the second Vespa shoe I picked up, the first being the obsidian Vespa PX 2.0 Lo. The PK Lo is pretty straightforward and will work with any get up you plan to wear it with (well, except for baggy clothes). Pick up a pair and try them out (adidas stores around the metro are on sale up to 50% off! Check out the adidas shops in Rockwell, Greenhills, Eastwood Citywalk 2, Robinson’s Galleria, Robinson’s Place Manila, Newport Mall, ATC, Festival Mall, Shangri-la, Gateway Mall, Alimall, and Robinson’s CDO. Good are up to 70% off in the adidas Factory Outlets in Riverbanks Mall and Nova Market).

Here’s another pair I picked up over the holidays, the adidas Ciero Mid ST. The Ciero’s been around for some time but this ST’d version of adidas’ skate shoe is mad comfy. Wore them practically the whole day yesterday and cushioning was real good. Great color blocking and contrast, the shoe’s worth a second look if you want a tan (clear sand to be exact) shade for your footwear.

While everyone was scrambling for BC3s last November, I had my eyes set on these: the ZX 500 from adidas Consortium. The Tabula Rasa Pack (which translates to  “blank slate” in Latin) marks the return of adidas Consortium. The simple white on white pack (the Pack includes the ZX 500, Pro Shell, Decade Hi, Match Play and the Baltic Cup) may seem bland to most but once you see the material used on all five pairs you’ll understand how great and premium the pack is.

As a true fan of retro runners, I just had to get the ZX 500. Using pigskin suede, soft premium leather and nylon mesh, the ZX 500s were just too hard to resist. A couple other details I failed to post here are the lace ends and lining, both exuding premium taste and quality. My brother was king enough to hook me up with a pair all the way from LE. If you still can source a pair I suggest you do before they’re all gone.

Jeremy Scott added another black combat boot to his Holiday collection. But they’re not your ordinary black boots They’re strapped. and locked. This JS Combat Boot goes all the way up with small locks (keys included) fastened throughout the shoe’s eyelets. These are definitely tame compared to other Jeremy Scott creations (I guess Jeremy’s running out of things in the attic to use on his shoes).

The JS Combat Boot retails upwards of 11,000 php and currently available at the adidas Originals Concept Store.

It’s amazing to see that Jeremy Scott can actually create simple and tone down colorways. We’ve seen the Wings 2.0 before and now he made this satin version for K-Pop girl group 2NE1. Jeremy Scott fans should definitely pick this one up as they are available in limited quantities. The Wings 2.0 retails for 10,995 php and available at the adidas Flagship store at Greenbelt 3 and the Originals Concept Store at Trinoma.

adidas won’t let the fellas have all the fun. Here we have the adidas Adi Outdoor Boot. Boots are definitely in this season so expect to see chunkier silhouettes, such as this one, worn by everyone. adidas has two colorways available, both with shiny leather uppers and durable white rubber outsoles to withstand the weather.
