adidas continues to roll out the reigning MVP Derrick Rose’s signature line with a pair of low top versions of the adiZero Rose 2. The adidas adiZero Rose 2 Low comes in DRose’s home whites and road breds. This low top is quite similar to the Rose 2, save for the ankle guards and straps seen on the Rose 2. You can pick the shoe up this weekend at Sole Academy, retailing for 5,995 php.

I’m not sure if you’ve seen these at the adidas store when you picked up your Power Howards or Rose 2s. This is the adidas Crazy Skin. Looking at the shoe’s side panels you’ll see this unusual webbing or skin, which provides the shoe better breathability and to a certain extent flexibility. This could’ve been KG’s shoes had he stayed on with adidas rather than jumping ship to Anta. The adidas Crazy Skin retails for 5,295 php.

You can call them Windy City, Blue Line, L-Trains, or just plain DRose 2s. What we all know is that they’re pretty good looking. This special colorway of the Rose 2 commemorates the L or the Blue Line train in Chicago. To continue with the whole Cleared for Takeoff/All Flights Cancelled theme, this pair is about the L train, the only train that takes Chicagoans to O’Hare. The pair comes with an extra set of bright blue laces, a nice touch to go with the blue accents found on the shoe.

The Windy City Rose 2s are still available in adidas stores and retailers but do pick them up now before they’re all gone. The adidas Rose 2 retails for 5,995 php.

It’s December and basketball season is officially underway all over (especially in the US), adidas Basketball brings out the adidas adiZero Shadow. The Shadow looks a lot like the Crazy Light but it uses different materials on the upper. From the welded sprintweb to the synthetic leather, expect the shoe to be lightweight, breathable and comfortable. The midsole/outsole is the same as the Pro Model Zero- molded EVA with Torsion for proper midfoot control. Like other pairs from adidas that use the SprintWeb, the three stripes are found at the heel, with smaller logos found on the base and tongue . Two colorways are currently available at the Flagship store and expect these to be available at other adidas stores nationwide.

The adidas adiZero Shadow is now available and retails for 4,995 php.

If you thought the Blue L Rose 2s were the only holiday colorways for the Rose 2, think again. Here’s another one that’ll be gone with the quickness. I thought the red ones were hot, check these out. With a “Gucci”-esque colorway that was really meant for the holidays, this predominantly black Rose 2 has red, green and gold hits all over to give amazing contrast. Like the “Wolverine” Rose 2s, this version has a textured upper, this time resembling a court’s hardwood.

The adiZero Rose 2.0 “Gucci/Christmas” is now available at Titan for 5,995 php. Cop it.

It’s quite rare to see adidas create special color ups for their signature pairs but this is definitely a step into the right direction. adidas releases the 6th colorway of Derrick Rose’s signature shoe for this season dubbed as “the Windy City” or “L Train” or “the Blue Line”. To continue with the whole ‘All Flights Cancelled’ story, The Blue Line or the “L Train” was the only train that went from the city to O’Hare (Chicago’s Int’l Airport). The brushed metal effect is done on the upper to represent the actual train that ran the line and added a bright blue line around the upper to signify the aforementioned subway route. The shoe comes with an extra set of bright blue laces and the subway map of Chicago on the right sockliner.

The Rose 2 “Blue Line” was supposed to drop right around Christmas, as DRose was supposed to wear it for the Christmas Day game. But with the season not looking good for a projected December 15 start, adidas went on to release the shoe this week. Drop by Titan NOW to pick the adiZero Rose 2.0 “Blue Line” today. The adiPower Howard’s been available the past few months (unofficially released last September) and with the NBA season now really hanging in the balance, we’re just happy to see Dwight. Last week we featured the adiZero Ghost which is now available at adidas (Trinoma). The other day I dropped by their Flagship store over at Greenbelt 3 and saw the three other colorways available for the Ghost-Royal/Black-White, Black/Running White, and White/Black-White. adidas continues to focus on lightweight models by using a SprintWeb frame for support and maximum breathability when coupled with the air mesh upper. For people who weren’t sold on the Crazy Light, these might work out for you.

With the success of the Crazy Light and the Pro Model Zero, adidas basketball releases the adiZero Ghost. The upper uses a SprintWeb frame, but with some design upgrades for better breathability and support. The Ghost currently has two colorways available (there should be 3 more on the way)- Black/Red-White (as endorsed by the Hawks’ Josh Smith aka JSmoove) and the Lead/White-Electricity (same as the first Crazy Light cw).

OG. adidas brings back the Top Ten Hi in its original look and colorway. Can you imagine  back in the day that these were the most sought after pairs for the game? The Top Ten is definitely a go-to shoe. 30-some years later and we’re still picking it up. The Top Ten Hi is available at adidas stores around town (I saw these at the Megamall store) for 4,695 php. Pick these up if you want a tried and tested shoe on and off the court.
