HBX and ASICS come together for a 90s-inspired Gel-Kayano 5 OG

It’s been a while since we’ve heard from ASICS, and we’re pleased to see them release a new collaboration this 2019. After teasing the shoe earlier this year, we’re finally getting the ASICS x HBX (Hypebeast’s online store) Gel-Kayano 5 OG.

The co-branded sneaker takes inspiration from the 90s, which was the time when the Gel-Kayano 5 was first released. The design has elements from Internet Explorer 5, early social networking sites and dystopian sci-fi movies of the same era.

The shoe features colored panels on each side, including tonal green suede patches with blue mesh. To finish off the collaboraiton, the ASICS stripe is done in red for contrast.

The HBX x ASICS Gel-Kayano 5 OG is now available at Commonwealth (Greenbelt) on a first come, first serve basis and retails for Php 10,890.00
