The shoe game’s been pretty weird lately. Nothing totally new’s coming out. Aside from the occasional technology release, the shoes these days do not have character. It’s a totally different thing with the classics. Most of the lifestyle pairs coming out are retros and classics with a twist. Sometimes it’s for the good (dunkestos, azx consortium) or sometimes for the really bad (AJF fusions). One thing Nike got right is the Air Maxim 1.
NSW released the Air Maxim 1 worldwide last week and was released locally at Shoe Salon. It’s a revamp of the AM1 or the Air Max 1987 with flywire and + technology. With Flywire all over the upper, the shoe now just weighs 10.1 oz, a good 66% lighter than the OG. You better drop by and get these bad boys. Once again, they only have a 1 pair per size run for the Maxims. These definitley look better than the AM90 Flywires and they’ll look better with your jeans.
The shoe’s now available at Shoe Salon over at Glorietta (not so sure about Trinoma).
