The fastest just got faster with the all-new adidas adiZero Rose.
After a couple of seasons doing the TS (Team Signature) shoe line, adidas finally got back on the signature shoe tip with the adidas adiZero Rose. Made specially for Derrick Rose’s game, the high performance shoe is built with the perfect balance of fit and light weightiness to help him do the impossible. The lowest and lightest Rose shoe to date, the upper is inspired by Derrick’s speed on the court and his fine taste for fashion away from the game.
Inspired by Rose’s Speedwrap ankle brace, the heel is locked down by an internal fit collar that incorporates basketball specific GEOFIT. Inspired by the fastest things in nature, the upper features mixes of textiles and synthetics that help reduce weight and increase stability during cutting movements. I’m not sure how it really helps, but it sure is different (its the same material used in the adidas Low Motion). One new tech introduced here is the SPRINTSKIN. Heat is released through the medial side of the shoe, thus making the shoe breathable. The adidas three stripes logo is featured on the back of the shoe. This is to symbolize how most opponents see Derrick – from the back as he’s charging the rim.
The tongue features a unique lacing system that allows you to pop it forward for casual wear or move it back and lace through the loops for a tight fit on the court. If you guys copped or saw the TS Heat Check, it has the same tongue/lacing system. The sockliner has a 3D molded PU insole for long lasting comfort. The midsole is made up of an Injection-molded EVA with anatomically profiled footbed for enhanced comfort, adiPRENE® insert in heel for impact absorption. SPRINTFRAME fuses the external counter with the asymetrical TORSION® SYSTEM for the ultimate in heel fit, midfoot integrity and proper torsional movement. Too technical? All that means is that it’s done with comfort and performance in mind while you’re playin’ in them.
The outsole features new forefoot zoned PURE MOTION technology, which is a lightweight system that adapts to your feet’s natural movement to give you maximum stability and traction on the court. New multi-layer Cilia traction surface provides two levels of traction that adapt to your movements. Clear rubber traction pads add extra grip at the three major contact points in the forefoot. The shoe weighs in 12.9 ounces, much lighter than adidas’ previous pairs. The shoe is set to drop TODAY, OCTOBER 15. So cop yours now and start the NBA season right with the adidas adiZero Rose.

The sole is reminiscent of the “Feet You Wear” tech done on the first Kobes.
