Round 3: The third installment of the adidas Originals x Dragon Ball Z collection drops this weekend

Posted on Nov 22, 2018 in Adidas

As we are nearing the end of the month, adidas Originals and Dragon Ball Z’s got a new set for us. Chronicling the epic battles of the series, this month features Vegeta and Majin Buu. To represent the two characters, adidas utilized their new Kamanda as well as a classic in the Oregon Ultra Tech.

For Vegeta, the Ultra Tech features the same colors of the Saiyan prince, with quilted maerial on its upper. This obviously represents Vegeta’ body armor. The key design from the Ultra Tech, the Dillinger Web, is still seen on the sneaker. The sneaker also has “Over 9000” stitched on the shoe’s heel, a call to his catchphrase. The co-branded logo can be seen on the shoe’s sockliner.

For Maji Buu, we get a pink-hued Kamanda. The perforated Three Stripes represent Majin Buu’s ability to shoot steam out of the holes in his body. “Mr. Satan” can be seen on in the inner tongue to go with Majin’s emblem on the heel. There are other details found on the shoe, such as the dragon ball on the medial side as well as marks found on the outsole. One other detail you might’ve missed out on is Majin Buu’s ‘M’ used on the Kamanda logo found on the lateral side and tongue.

The third installment of the adidas Originals x Dragon Ball Z collection drops this Saturday, November 24 across Sole Academy (BGC), Commonwealth (Greenbelt), the adidas Webstore, and select adidas Originals Neighborhood stores (Glorietta and High Street). The Ultra Tech ‘Vegeta’ retails for Php 9,300 while the Kamanda ‘Majin Buu’ goes for Php 8,000.
