PICK-UP: adidas ROSE 3 ‘HOME’

We’ve been checking up with Derrick Rose (@drose) and adidas since last August with The Return (#thereturn) and even the release of his latest signature shoe, the Rose 3. Three colorways are currently available (Away-Black/Red, Home- Aluminum/Black-Red, and Chicago Fire- Electricity/Metallic Silver-Black), and a host of others coming out soon (if you’ve scoured the net, you would’ve seen some sick colorways). Upon seeing the first three, I knew I had to pick the Home cws up.

Aesthetically, it looks much better than the 2.5. The best thing about the 2.5 was the comfort considering the shoe being lightweight. The Rose 3 is slightly heavier but the essentials are still there- SprintWEB, SprintFrame, GeoFit memory foam, and miCoach compatible. What you will notice here is the impeccable make on the shoe. adidas justifies the price hike (7,995/8,995 from 6,995 php) with the materials and shoe construction.

The outsole on the Rose 3 seems sturdier but still flexible considering the flex grooves aren’t as pronounced as other hoop shoes. Tonight will be the real test when I play ball in ‘em. If you want to try them out, drop by any adidas Sport Performance stores nationwide or retailers (Titan just got their stocks in) for the adidas Rose 3.
