PICK-UP: adidas CONSORTIUM ZX 500 OG x SHANIQWA JARVIS ‘YOUR STORY’

Aside from great design, great use of materials would be the next to what I look for in a great sneaker. Some silhouettes may be great but fail with the materials used. adidas’ Consortium line is all about high end quality and pristine materials. When I saw close up photos of these, I knew I had to get these. Part of the 2nd Your Story pack, adidas worked with photographer Shaniqwa Jarvis for this slick all blue ZX 500 OG.

Taking inspiration from the time Jarvis was part of the Junior Olympic Swimming Team, the Zx 500 OG represented the pool and the dip dyed laces resembled the pool’s lane dividers. adidas and Jarvis definitely used premium materials- from the perforated suede upper, the neoprene tongue and her signature on the tongue tag. If you still have an opportunity to pick these up, don’t sleep!
