Out Now: adidas releases new colorways for the D.O.N. Issue #1

Are you excited for the upcoming NBA season? With the Utah Jazz having kicking off their Media Day earlier today, adidas Basketball released the second set of colorways for Donovan Mitchell’s signature shoe, the D.O.N. Issue #1.

While the first set were inspired by their collaboration with Marvel’s Spider Man, the three colorways are more NBA-friendly, which we’ll most likely see Mitchell wear throughout the NBA season. The first colorway is dubbed ‘Engine 45’. The Shock Yellow upper definitely attracts major attention. We don’t know the direct story behind it, but we believe that Mitchell is the engine running the Jazz this season.

The 2nd colorway we saw earlier today worn by Mitchell during his Media Day shoots. The Black/White upper could still be a continuing story for their Marvel collab, but they definitely fit the Jazz home unis.

Last but definitely not the least is the ‘Mailman’ colorway. Before Spida patrolled the lanes, the Mailman ruled Salt Lake City. Karl Malone (and John Stockton) put the Jazz on his back and brought them to the NBA Finals in the mid-90s. The new shoe features the same colors of their uniforms during this prominent era. Jazz fans, this one’s for you.
