On Kobe’s Feet: adidas Harden Vol.2 “Trace Cargo”

Posted on Jun 18, 2018 in Adidas

It may have been a relatively “quiet” sneaker release weekend (POD-S3.1, Agimat, Fashion King and this pair being the highlights), but there were a bunch of things that happened surrounding the sneaker world, especially for adidas PH. Utah Jazz rookie Donovan Mitchell was in town for a whirlwind promotional tour (we’ll get to that on a separate post) and the brand signed their latest athlete, Kobe Paras. For as long as I can remember, Kobe and adidas have been “flirting” with each other even when he was still in high school in California. With strict endorsement/sponsorship rules for amateurs in the US, adidas really couldn’t sign Paras to a deal. It was pretty fortunate that he went to an “adidas” high school, which got him invited to several high profile camps and tournaments. But with Paras opting to go professional, adidas swooped in and signed him to his sneaker deal.

That’s the reason why Paras was around Mitchell during his trip here. It was sort of a double celebration of having both endorsers in town. We all know that Mitchell wears the Dame 4 on court (and it’s only a matter of time ’til we see Donovan rock PEs and maybe even a signature shoe down the line), but we saw Paras rocking these new joints — the adidas Harden Vol.2 “Trace Cargo”. adidas has done an amazing job with this colorway, whether it was for the UltraBoost, NMD, or any other silhouette over the last few years. This shade of green is close to becoming a signature color for the brand. If you’re feeling the new colorway, drop on by Titan, Capital or some of the adidas PH stores nationwide and pick these up.

The adidas Harden Vol.2 “Trace Cargo” retails for Php 7,500.
