Nice Kicks & adidas Consortium bring out a 90s inspired capsule collection

Posted on Feb 24, 2018 in Adidas

Aren’t we done yet? After a crazy All-Star Weekend and a barrage of lifestyle silhouettes this past week, adidas Originals extends the love outside of LA for this Sunday’s release. Last February 15, Nice Kicks opened their latest store in Downtown LA and released a special collaboration with adidas Consortium channeling the Venice Beach Courts as inspiration in time for the crazy basketball weekend.

Releasing the Crazy 1 ADV, Crazy 8 ADV and a track suit, the unique color palette of classic 90s sportswear of pink, purple, and aqua against a white backdrop are seen across the entire collection.

The Crazy 1 ADV features a mesh construction with premium suede overlays and elastic webbing around the collar. The white/off-white mix definitely provides that retro feel, while we get Nice Kicks’ branding on the lateral side and on the Consortium tongue.

The Crazy 8 ADV takes on a similar construction, while major contrast is done with the pink and purple on the shoe’s midsole. The left and right shoe’s windows are rendered in Shock Pink and Energy Aqua respectively, while collaborative branding details on each toe feature similar contrast details. This is then placed atop a two-tone midsole with concealed Boost™ technology and metal details in the shoe’s lacing system, creating a truly elevated take on one of Adidas’ most daring silhouettes.

The two pairs will be made available in the PH by Commonwealth via CopDate today, February 24. Expect the alerts to come sometime today and pick up will be done tomorrow, February 25. The track suit, like the NBHD collaboration, will be available in-store on first come, first serve basis. For more information, make sure to follow Commonwealth on Instagram.
