LIGHTER BRIGHTER STRONGER

This is light done right. Last year, we had the Crazy Light, the lightest basketball shoe at 9.8 ounces that took 3-4 years to develop. A lot of people liked how they performed and realized that there’s more to adidas than DRose and Dwight. This year, adidas reworked on key pieces that would improve the shoe a whole lot more. At first glance, you’d think it’s pretty much the same shoe but adidas changed a lot on the Crazy Light 2 and chopped off .3 ounces off the hoop shoe.
The 3-layer heated SprintWEB is one glaring difference you’ll notice when you see the shoe up close, making the shoe stronger but at the same time lighter. The SprintFRAME as well has changed at the same time they added a little more cushioning and traction to make the shoe wearable on all surfaces (as opposed to the first one, that was meant for indoor courts). Insoles, Laces are all interchangeable, giving the player options to make the shoe adapt to the player’s liking.

Three colorways are available beginning today- “Electricity”, Teflon (or Breds), and the Dark Onix/Tech Greys – at adidas stores and retailers nationwide. Last week, adidas Philippines invited me and 23 other media outlets/personalities to experience the shoe front and center. Along with Coach Ronnie Magsanoc and Ryan Gregorio and the rest of the adidas Coaching staff, we went through drills (they definitely gave us a good workout) before we played a pickup game using the new Crazy Light 2.
I’ve been using the Rose 2.5 (which is a really great shoe to use) for the past few months and you’ll notice the difference immediately with the Crazy Light 2. The reinvented SprintWEB felt better and stronger, whereas the first one felt more like a sandal than an actual shoe. There were no insecurities when running, jumping and stopping while wearing the shoe. My teammates loved it as we blew the competition away early and just coasted all throughout.
Pick the Crazy Light 2 today and share your own performance review when you experience light done right yet again. Check out the rest of the photos during the media launch of the Crazy Light 2. Expect different colorways to drop in the coming months. The adiZero Crazy Light 2 retails for 7,995 php.
