ICYMI: adidas Consortium brought back the LXCON OG over the weekend

Posted on Jul 1, 2019 in Adidas

While most of the brands were gearing up for a busy July, adidas Consortium wasn’t playing around with their release last weekend. While most of their collaborations circle around retailers and other partners, there are some releases that celebrate the brand’s rich heritage, highlighting key technologies and the brand’s commitment to craftsmanship. This past weekend, adidas Consortium released the LXCON OG, the blueprint, the genuine article of this past season’s hit.

Almost 25 years since it debuted, adidas Consortium brings it back with the same purple hits found on the tongue, collar and the over/underlays. Just like our previous article, the ’90s were all about the boldness, as can be seen with the oversized Three Stripes on the LXCON. The EQT sub green arch peeks through the shoe’s medial side, further adding to the design language of the ’90s. The leather and mesh build is further updated for today’s production standards while the tube (as seen on today’s LXCON) construction provides stability to the overall sneaker. Similar to other in-house releases this season, the LXCON OG features the Torsion System underfoot, bridging the forefoot to the rear, helping in the shoe’s overall stability.

The adidas Consortium LXCON OG is now available in limited quantities at Commonwealth (Greenbelt 5). The shoe retails for Php 9,000.
