ICYMI: adidas Consortium ’30 Years of Torsion’ Pack

Posted on Sep 29, 2019 in Adidas

While BOOST has saturated the market and made the tech a staple, don’t think adidas has forgotten about what made them successful over the last couple of decades. In celebrating 30 years of Torsion this year, we’ve seen a bunch of Torsion-based silhouettes run the gauntlet, from the ZX 4000, several EQTs, and even a couple of Futurecraft runners. The ZX series has been a focal point for the tech, especially when the shoe debuted Torsion exactly 30 years ago. The iconic TPU arch that bridges the hell and the forefoot has been present all these years, helping your foot adapt independently as well as offering stability and support.

With all the releases these past few weeks, you might’ve missed out on the release of the 4 ZX silhouettes that utilized the classic Torsion base: the ZX 5000, ZX 6000, ZX 7000, and ZX 9000. Each sneaker was made to suit different running settings, thus catering to all types of runners. What’s great about this new pack is that it stays true to the classics, using OG materials and colorways from the late 80s/early 90s. Fun Fact: adidas used distinct colors to identify a shoe’s performance capabilities: blue for cushioning; green for guidance; yellow for support.

The updates are in the form of a new lace jewel and insole, both featuring the ’30 years of Torsion’ branding. The adidas ZX ’30 Years of Torsion’ pack is exclusively available at Commonwealth PH’s webstore. What’s great about this Consortium pack is that each pair just retails for Php 6,600.
