Here’s a look at the adidas Deerupt and the confirmed colorways

Posted on Mar 20, 2018 in Adidas

Last Wednesday, adidas Originals unveiled their latest sneaker, the Deerupt — a contemporary take on adidas heritage with an all-new look. Inspired by past silhouettes, urban planning, architecture and natural phenomena, the Deerupt’s grid is its central design principle. Looking back at the brand’s archive, we’ve seen the grid on the New York Runner, the Marathon and the Oregon, but now used as an allover pattern throughout the shoe. When warped to exaggerated proportions and injected with electric color, the grid is transformed into a bold visual motif for today.

We’ve been wearing the shoe for a couple of days now, and we can say that the shoe is pretty lightweight, with its knit upper and stretch netting. In terms of comfort, it’s not Boost but the zoned foam pockets create proper support and comfort in all the right places (seriously considering pulling them out and trying them on an NMD).

March 22 (Thursday) is the global launch of the Deerupt across several adidas retailers and Original Neighborhood stores. Solar Bird (above), the hero colorway, is a mashup of two iconic adidas colors — Solar Red and Bluebird. This will be available in both men’s and women’s sizes and will retail for Php 5,800. Here’s a list of stores confirmed to release the Deerupt: Commonwealth, Sole Academy, Capital, the Athlete’s Foot, Sneak Peek, adidas Originals Neighborhood Stores and the adidas Online store.

Here are the rest of the confirmed colorways. There are about 4 more colors each that are set to release. We will add them as we inch closer to the launch of the Deerupt:

Solar Bird Red (Men’s and Women’s)

Solar Bird Black (Men’s)

Solar Bird White (Men’s)

Berry Black (Women’s)

Berry Pink (Women’s)
