CAN’T WAIT: adidas CONSORTIUM ZX 500 OG

Just a couple more days. Around a week to be exact. As we are a growing sneaker city, Tier Zero/NRG/Consortium/List accounts are few and far between. But with the rise of Titan, Sole Academy, Crate and similar stores, hopefully these stores would eventually become a top tier door. For those not familiar, adidas’ Consortium line can be likened to an NRG or Tier Zero account. Only a couple of stores around the world can carry Consortiums. In SEA, Limited Edt (SG) is the lone Consortium account. So for the past year, I’ve been getting my ZX 500s from them. So far, I’ve been successful. 3 for 3 to be exact. I was able to cop all three ZX 500s from LE (24 pairs per SKU).

Just a couple of weeks after the Your Story 2 collection dropped, adidas Consortium announced they were releasing the ZX 500 in the OG colorway (the photos you see here). I made the call to LE, unfortunately, they did not get a pair in my size. I scrambled. I scoured the net. I finally found a pair in my size via Crooked Tongues, just in time for the London Olympics. But there was a snag. They do not ship to PO Boxes, thus the transaction did not push through. I had to ship the shoe to the US (free via CT) and have my sister bring them home. She now has the pair on hand, making my Consortium pick up, 4 of 4.
