adidas Originals and Porshe Design are back for Fall 2012 with a couple sleek, stylish designs any sneaker/car enthusiast would appreciate. Inspired by the iconic elements of Porsche racing/driving as well as the contemporary design and technology the brand is known for.
adidas brings out the Porsche 917- the legendary car that won in Le Mans (1970) and became one of the most successful sports cars of the decade. This silhouette takes its cues from the Porsche’s rear engine, which can be seen on the perforated rubber heel. A distinctive Porsche badge sits on the midsole giving it a sharp twist, while another Porsche 917 badge is on the heel patch. Premium leather and patent are used on both colorways giving it a sporty look, while the concave 3-stripes mark adds a sporty element. Small splashes of red appear on the tongue. The Porsche 917 retails for 7,595 php.
