adidas unveils the P.O.D. System

Posted on Jun 13, 2018 in Adidas

Earlier today, adidas Originals officially unveiled their latest silhouette — the P.O.D. System. adidas took the podular sole unit from their 90s silhouettes and equipped it with today’s best technologies for the best cushioning at the point of deflection.

There are three key elements to the P.O.D. System:

1) Point of Deflection Bridge. Back in 1989, adidas debuted the first outsole that let the shoe flex like the foot. The Torsion System reimagined what a sole unit could be – it allowed natural movement without compromising support. The POD Bridge advanced that tech, providing stability and flexibility with every stride at the point of impact.

2) High-Rebound EVA Forefoot. In 1995, adidas introduced shock-absorbing chambers to the outsoles, optimizing cushioning at the point of impact. Today, adidas developed a high-rebound EVA compound that brings soft yet responsive cushioning to the forefoot, which extends comfort from heel to toe.

3) BOOST Heel. BOOST debuted in 2013, providing energy return like never before. For the P.O.D. System, adidas secured the BOOST within a podular heel, providing the best cushioning where it matters the most.

The adidas P.O.D. System drops this Saturday, June 16th, at Sole Academy (BGC) and Commonwealth (Greenbelt),  adidas PH online store and adidas Originals Neighborhood (Uptown), retailing for Php 7,000.
