adidas TMAC 1 ‘ORLANDO’

Before there was a DRose or a Gil Zero, or the rest of the 5 (from the It Takes 5IVE campaign), there was TMAC. adidas signed up their second high school phenom (you might know the other one) back in ’98 hoping there was more to his hops they saw during the ABCD Camp. Indeed there was. Teaming up with his cousin in the Great White North, McGrady bolted for sunny Florida to be the man. A pretty bold move, but a risk that paid off. TMAC was a scoring machine and became an All-Star. adidas, returned the favor and finally gifted him with his first signature shoe, the TMAC 1.

A couple of weeks ago we saw the All-Star 2002 cw (silver/black) drop and here’s his first ever signature shoe done in Orlando’s colors. I remember seeing this for the first time in Kicks (get the latest issue, out now folks!) and was speechless at the modernized shell toe. Needless to say, the shoe performed well enough to garner a retro a good 10 years after they debuted.

The adidas TMAC 1 is now available at adidas Sport Performance stores for 6,495 php.
