Last year, adidas released the Return of the Mac, an obvious takedown of the more popular signature shoe for adidas athlete Tracy McGrady. When those came out, a lot of TMac fans and sneakerheads were clamoring for the release of the original TMac 1. With the updated shell toe and sleek design, TMac’s shoe was one of the better pairs released back in the early 2000s.
A couple of days ago, news about the TMac 1s resurfaced. McGrady wore these silver joints during the 2002 All-Star Game in Philadelphia. The shoe is officially back and in store, as what I can only assume is a 10th year anniversary of sorts. With 2002 and the Liberty Bell embroidered on the heel and a special blue and red insole combo, this is definitely an adidas throwback you can’t miss out on .
The adidas TMac 1 ‘All-Star’ retails for 6,495 php and is available at key adidas stores nationwide. Does anyone still have the OG TMac 1s in their closet? First one to send me a photo via email gets a special prize!
