adidas pays homage to a classic with this Marquee Boost

Posted on Jun 5, 2019 in Adidas

Retro silhouettes (and colorways) always work largely due to the nostalgia one has towards the sneaker. To a certain extent, the success of the Stan Smith, Superstar and the Air Jordan line are all about the feels. Over the last decade, adidas has done an amazing job of mixing their classic silhouettes with new-age tech, or an iteration that links the two together. Take for example the Marquee Boost. The shoe definitely screams old school but definitely performs well on like any modern sneaker. This June, adidas takes the nostalgia a step further by celebrating a 40-year old sneaker through the Marquee Boost. With its pristine white uppers, navy collars and red accents, the Top Ten’s color blocking is now seen on the Marquee Boost. A gold “40th Anniversary” stamp is seen on the heel to go with the Brooklyn Farm print on the medial side.

The adidas Marquee Boost ‘Top Ten’ is now available at the adidas PH online store as well as select adidas Home Court stores around the metro. The sneaker retails for Php 7,500.
