adidas DROSE 3 SKETCHES

As we inch closer and closer to the DRose 3 release date, here are some design sketches and studies of the Rose 3. Aside from Rose being the main focus and inspiration for the shoe, they also got inspiration from the katana blade, those japanese/samurai swords back in 14th century. They also likened Rose to the sword, the way he slashes to the basket. You’ll notice the ankle collar and the perforations on the SprintWeb resemble the design found on some swords’ handles. When I heard about that, I really thought it was a cool concept, at the same time you’ll still see all the shout outs to his hometown and his family integrated into the design.

The adidas DRose 3 releases worldwide on the 4th of October. 3 colorways will be available- Home, Away, and Electricity (similar to the Crazy Light 2, but will be available only to Titan, Hoopsville, adidas GB3, Trinoma, and MOA).
