Last Thursday, adidas announced the launch of the latest shoe from the DRose signature line – the DRose 3- alongside his logo and apparel collection, all set to launch worldwide this October. “The D Rose 3 signature collection is special to me because I worked side-by-side with adidas on everything from materials to fit to colors to make it the best we’ve done yet,” said Rose. “I love the new logo that calls out the most important things to me: my family, basketball and the city of Chicago.”
Looking at these photos of the DRose 3, the shoe features the most innovative tech from adidas as well as style elements that reflect Rose and his game. Using synthetic and nubuck leather on the upper makes the shoe great both on and off the court. Chicago call outs on the inside of the tongue portray the essence of D Rose, including an illustration of his family tree and the landmark of 73rd and Paulina in the Englewood neighborhood where he grew up. Each colorway of the D Rose 3 will feature special, personal graphics on the inside of the tongue, colors and materials to give fans details about Derrick’s life.
Made specifically to DRose’s foot and style of play, the shoe ensures minimal foot movement and maximum efficiency, comfort and control to make one of the most agile and quickest players in the league even faster and more elusive. The SprintWEB upper features a diamond cut-out pattern providing a functional blend of breathability and support. The three stripes are again on the back of the shoe to represent Derrick’s speed, and they now wrap around the outsole so opponents see them not only when he drives past them, but also goes over them. Like the 2.5 and the Crazy Light 2, the DRose 3 is miCoach compatible.
The DRose 3 launches nationwide at retailers in the Philippines on October 4 for 7995 php in away (black/white/red) and home (grey/black/red) and will launch in seven editions through the end of the year. Here are images of the away colorway of the DRose 3.
