adidas drops the Parley for the Oceans UltraBoosts tomorrow

After cascading their partnership to the local media around June last year, we’re finally getting our first set of UltraBOOSTs from adidas and Parley for the Oceans. Although they’ve released several versions of the UltraBOOST prior, this season’s collection looks to be one of the widest since they announced their partnership in 2016.

Inspired by the dark blues and greens of the urban harbor, we’re getting the UltraBOOST Parley and UltraBOOST X Parley silhouettes Demonstrating adidas’ and Parley‘s commitment to implementing Parley AIR (Avoid,Intercept, Redesign) and tackling marine plastic pollution one step at a time, every pair of the limited collection prevents approximately 11 plastic bottles from the possibility of entering the oceans.

To further push the campaign, each Primeknit upper consists of 85% Parley Ocean PlasticMT – an eco-innovative material created from upcycled marine waste, intercepted before it has the chance to enter the ocean. Similar to other UltraBOOST silhouettes, each pair uses BOOST cushioning and Continental rubber for its outsole made of natural materials. Each pair from the Parley collection has an NFC chip in the right shoe, providing the user with exclusive learning experiences about plastic pollution which can be accessed via smartphone. The Adaptive Arch is exclusive to the UltraBOOST X.

 The adidas Parley UltraBOOST and UltraBOOST X officially drop tomorrow, April 16, at Commonwealth (Greenbelt 5), Sole Academy, adidas PH online and select adidas Home Court doors. Each pair retails for Php 10,000.
