adidas Consortium & Bodega release their new collection this weekend

Posted on Aug 29, 2018 in Adidas

With 2018 being a World Cup year, it made sense for Bodega to drop a football collection with adidas Consortium. Thing is — why release it after the event?

As Bodega would put it, the World Cup is just the pinnacle of football events. But like most of the world, football runs year-round, in every city, at every waking moment. Both adidas Consortium and Bodega recognize that passion, that obsession of the beautiful game. The latest collection features two of the brand’s new models – the Kamanda and the Sobakov. The Kamanda features a tonal black, ballistic nylon upper with classic stripes, offset by an olive, knit tongue, and khaki suede heel tab.  A rugged, textured tread pattern sole wraps around the entire shoe.  The Sobakov, with a ribbed suede upper in tan, a reflective silver, modernist variation of the three stripes, which wrap around the heel, and a sole pattern is rendered in sculpted waves opts for a more casual interpretation of aggressive design. Seen through its translucent rubber outsoles, Bodega’s logo pops out for that extra detail.

adidas and Bodega envision these silhouettes as more than just a flavor of the month. They were meant to be worn everyday and everywhere. They believe that following your passions doesn’t always take you down the easiest road, but it’s always worth the trip.

The Bodega x adidas Consortium “Hidden In Plain Sight” collection  drop this Saturday, September 1st, exclusively at Commonwealth (Greenbelt + SM Aura). Both pairs will be available on a first come, first serve basis.
