adidas Basketball is ballin’ out with their March releases

Posted on Mar 4, 2019 in Adidas

Time flies so fast these days. Just like that, we’ve burned through the first two months of 2019. As we kick things off this March, adidas Basketball brings us a boatload of sneakers as we head on to the summer. Last Friday, we featured the latest colorway from the Dame 5 line, the Suga Gee. What we didn’t anticipate were the rest of the basketball offerings across the board, especially with March Madness around the corner as well as ‘crunch time’ for the NBA season. What’s great about this month’s initial releases is that there’s a pair for everyone — fit for any position or price point. Take a look at the releases below and pick your favorite.

Harden Vol.3 ‘Retro Rockets’ – Php 7,500

At first glance, we thought the gradient outsole was inspired by those tricolor popsicles. But upon further inspection and attention to detail, these Vol.3s are actually inspired by the Houston Rockets jersey from the mid-90s to early 2000s. Back then, the Rockets wore pinstriped jerseys and the team had a playful rocket logo with teeth, as seen on the shoe’s medial side. Harden wore the shoe earlier today and dropped 42 on the Celtics. How’s that for an MVP performance?

Harden Vol.3 ‘Geek Up’ – Php 7,500

Aside from the Rockets-inspired colorway, expect to see this – the Harden Vol.3 ‘Geek Up’ colorway. There’s not much said about the latest sneaker, but Dame’s also got a Geek Up variant of his signature shoe. With graphics found throughout the upper and outsole, this Harden Vol.3 definitely screams unique.

Dame 5 ‘Geek Up’ – Php 6,000

Work Hard. That’s what Dame brings to the table when it’s Dame Time. Just like the Harden Vol.3, the graphics found throughout call out to every fan who geeks out for their favorite players.

Marquee Boost Low ‘Jayhawks/Sixers’ – Php 7,000

It’s not really a special colorway for the adidas sponsored team, but you can see the resemblance (just sucks that JoJo ain’t with the Three Stripes anymore). This would’ve been a perfect 76ers make up as well. Either way, the Marquee Boost Low is one of our favorite silhouettes for 2019.

Pro Bounce Madness 2019 – Php 5,800

Balling on a budget? The Pro Bounce Madness 2019 is one of the best budget sneakers out there. Just like the Marquee Boost, N3XT L3V3L and Dame 5, the Pro Bounce Madness 2019 also features the lateral banking barrier for ultimate stability. With a stylized Bounce midsole, the Pro Bounce Madness is your best bet this March.

Harden B|E – Php 6,000

If you’re looking for a cheaper alternative for the Harden Vol.3, his take down, the Harden B|E is also out with an updated construction for the upper and its traction. adidas Basketball prides itself with superior traction, regardless of price point. This one’s a winner.

Pro Bounce Madness Low – Php 5,500

Just like the mid tops, adidas released a Pro Bounce Madness in low tops. Donning the same striking Bounce midsole as its mid counterpart, this iteration stands out from the pack. Best part about it? The Pro Bounce Madness Low retails or Php 5,500.

Pro Vision Select ‘Donovan Mitchell’ PE – Php 5,000

Cardinals represent! While we’re nearing March Madness, adidas Basketball released a special PE makeup for Louisville alum Donovan Mitchell. Over the weekend, Mitchell gifted these to a 102-year old fan before leading the Jazz to a W. Donovan’s signature is seen on the Pro Vision’s tongue. At Php 5,000, isn’t this the most affordable player make up in the market?

Marquee Boost Low ‘Lakers’ – Php 7,000

Don’t we all wish the Lakers had an easier end to the NBA season? Since the All-Star break, the Lakers have been struggling to string out victories. Good thing though, they don’t look bad on court rocking the Marquee Boost Low. This lakers-inspired colorway fits right in for every Lake show fan out there.

Marquee Boost Low ‘Active Red’ – Php 7,000

For those looking for a solid team shoe with superior cushioning, the Marquee Boost Low is one of the best in the market. Coming in a no-nonsense colorway, the ‘Active Red’ pair makes for the perfect team shoe.

Marquee Boost – Php 7,500

If you’re not convinced that the low tops are comfortable enough, adidas also created a mid top version of the Marquee Boost in a darker shade of red. Can you see the UE Warriors or the UP Maroons rock these during the summer tournaments?

Pro Bounce Madness – Php 5,500

If the other pair doesn’t work for you, this basic black/white/gum pair is also available. Have you tried the Creator Farm’s lateral banking barrier? They actually work and stay stable throughout. These are now available across adidas PH stores around the metro.
