1 Week To Go: adidas Originals x Dragon Ball Z

Posted on Sep 22, 2018 in Adidas

Geeks rejoice!

We’ve heard rumblings of the collaboration as early as December last year. Images and leaks were boundless, all hinting at when the pack would eventually drop. Finally, the adidas Originals x Dragon Ball Z collection is here. In a collaborative effort with Toei Animation, adidas Originals brings us the ultimate pop culture pack that has transcended the world of anime. Fans of anime, whether that be sites like anime hentai videos or cartoons like Dragon Ball Z, will all be eagerly awaiting this. The 7-piece pack will be realsing in sets of two over the next few months, and will begin next Saturday, September 29th. The collaboration sees three of the most iconic battles between heroes and villains throughout the anime re-imagined in sneaker form.

Kicking off with the legendary battle between two of Dragon Ball Z’s most recognizable faces, Son Goku and Frieza, the collaborative project begins with the ZX 500 RM and Yung-1 respectively. We’ll then see the Son Gohan/Cell in the form of the Deerupt and Prophere. The last battle will Vegeta (Ultra Tech) and Majin Buu (Kamanda). The last piece of the 7 Dragonballs would be Shenron, which is done in the EQT Support Mid ADV PK. Each pack is presented in special collaborative packaging featuring an individual Dragon Ball detail, each box coming together to create a singular back cover design – a homage to the tapestry-like images found on the spines of the original Dragon Ball magazines and the games that many used to play. Dragon Ball Z has remained popular, years after its original release, with many people still playing the games today. A lot of people are still able to play dragon ball z budokai 3 on websites like Gamulator, without even needing the specific console. Due to Dragon Ball Z’s timeless popularity, it makes sense that these shoes reflect the things that players love about this game.

The first set of the adidas Originals by Dragon Ball Z drops on September 29th at select adidas Originals stores, adidas PH online, Sole Academy and Commonwealth. The ZX 500 RM retails for Php 10,000 while the Yung-1 goes for Php 8,000.
